the valve is the egr. it can be welded shut but i think the mx-3 ecu requires or looks for the egr anyways. i don't know what it would do performance wise if you removed it.

I dont' remember finding any engines in saskatoon but there is a really good one in calgary. It is called JDM Source. there website is jdmsource.ca. they are really helpfull. good luck and maybe i'll see you on the steets during the august cruise weekend.

sorry about that jschrauwen i reread my last topic and saw that you had partially answered the question but i was sure that one of them connected to the throttle body because that was the hose that i had marked from the throttle body to the egr. you had stated that it did not go to the throttle body...

Ok i got the klze in but i still have those two hoses that i can't figure out where they go. in the online manual on page b2-039 it looks like the two hoses connect together. the one hose in pic 1 is connected to the thermostat and the hose in pic 2 is connected to the egr. it is the bottom hose. th...

look for leakage of any fluids, look for dents in oilpan. mostly the only way you can tell what the engine is like is the outside unless you drain the oil and put a magnet in to check how much filings come out of the oil. if there is alot then it has alot of wear and if there isn't a whole lot then ...

and make sure you watch your levels in your resevior so you don't run out of brake fluid. happened to me. :oops: oh and bleed from the bleed screw not the bolt on the back of the caliper

i don't understand it. the online manual shows that the egr only has one hose going to the tb and the other hose going to the egr soleniod. but mine has an extra hose coming off of the egr that is not shown in the manual. please help.

ok i don't know if this helps any but this is what my egr looks like (crudely drawn). I looks like it has one more line than what the one in the manual shows.

no almost none at all. the images are angled wrong. and hard to read. like it is very helpful for most of them but not for the ones i am having problems with. also it doesn't help that i am puting in a klze so i can't just guess where the hoses should go.

where do the egr rubber hoses connect to? i don't understand this. does anybody have there car near them that could take a look and see where these hoses go to. would be greatly appreciated. cuz i can't figure it out/

the ms8 manifold is longer than the probes manifold and would require you to move that brake resevoir. i dont' know if the runners are any bigger with the ms8 mani than the probe but i could be mistaken. but if you have the k8 and the k8 ecu then i wouldn't bother putting the probe ecu in. but i do ...
