could be a vacuum leak some place. since you had a crack in the intake hose i would check the accordian looking piece right before the intake manifold. that piece usually cracks. i would take it off and thoroughly inspect it.

mazda speed would be my second vote.

but the drift front bumper is byfar first. i love the almost stock look of it but it has some silent but aggressive accents.

but the drift rear bumper is hideous.

where do you live. that would help us direct you to where to buy a engine from a relatively close area.

you will need a longer vacum hose to the brake booster. I didn't need to, and I wouldn't touch it anyways. Supposedly that vacuum hose has a check valve in it. It's not just a straight vacuum hose. i hope not. i had to replace the line going to the brake container. seems to work fine, but i could b...

ok all i know about the prc is that the klze's do not come with the prc selinoid. but the k8's do so most people (like me) include the prc selinoid in with the swap. on the klze's they have the 6th runner straight to the fpr whereas the k8 has the 6th runner branching off to the prc and the egr seli...

search. $1300 for engine then there is the amount for the ecu (approx $320) then you will need a flywheel (from $200 - $500) and if you have an automatic you will likely have to swap to a manual. plus whatever parts need replacing for me it costed approx $2650. but that was with clutch, fidanza flyw...

ok correct me if i am wrong on this but if you follow the hose back and if it goes to the egr selinoids WITHOUT branching off then it is supposed to go to the air box. if it branches off then it is supposed to go to the prc selinoid (sensor).

jschrauwen: I'd look toward that and possibly coupled with some bad ground cables (perhaps from the battery) could easily give you the condition you are describing. man how did i forget that. i had the same problem a bit after the swap and all i did was add a couple of new groundpoints from the eng...

Rick Johnson:
If all else fails hit it with a hammer, sometimes something gets stuck in the starter.
lol ya that works. i also found taking the starter off the car and hooking it up to a batter charger. then crank the charger and let the sparks fly. fixed my starter.
