was it a drop & go type thing w/your b&m?

i talked to a mechanic that wanted to charge me 70 bucks to "adjust linkage" or some crap like that (because it's not guarenteed to fit er something) so i figure i'll handle it myself...

i've heard of em, but im afraid to get metal shavings everywhere! i figure if i leave the cover on, shavings shouldnt go everywhere and get all screwed up inside my head...but im still nervous. i'll probably end up getting one monday.

mine does the same thing...well, did. i havent changed anything on the car. make sure your connectors around your airbox and throttlebody are all secure.

just got the cover off...it's in the head. i've tryed plyers n' such but it wont back out....im PISSED!

so far no leaks, but i still want that thing outta there, im gunna see if i can get the cover off tomorrow morning and see what im working with, if i cant, someone mentioned i should try a "easy-out" somewhat like a drill bit that allows you to drill into the broken part of the bolt and ac...

is there anyway to clean the inside of the valve cover? i've got engine block cleaner, i've used it to clean the outside but what would i use to clean the inside?

i'd be willing to do the member map of North America if i could get the list of JUST the locations of the members. the only other way to do it is to go page by page and look...

...but if i have to i guess i could do that.

last i heard 650+ cars, that's pretty good odds.

yeah, i know it's dirty, 140k miles and still rolling. i've only had it for about 40 and i've treated it like GOLD! penzoil every 3-4k...? i dont how i'd clean it even if i wanted too.


i'll check tomorrow at autozone...hopefully theyve got it. (10mm dont know the threading or anything like that)
