i talked to the insurance guy and he said that if i pay the 500 dollar deductable, and the shop can fix it, they'll cover the rest. and i asked about a limit and he said it didnt matter, if they could get it fixed, they'll cover it.

your friend should just bore it out and up the compression to 11:1 i would think that would add about as much power as possible on a nice enough budget that you wouldnt have to sell all of your worldly possesions to attain.

just got done getting mine "rebuilt" corrosion on the connectors. the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) should be attached to the transmission. right near the opening for filling the tranny w/fluid. good luck finding just that though mazda will sell you the whole wiring harness for 450 bucks but ...
