Yeah that sounds like you spun a bearing, i wouldn't run it much at all, because of the risk of throwing a rod. It's most likely a main bearing, but could possibly a rod bearing. My 92' SOHC MX-3, did the same thing, i pulled the Speedometer cable out of the tranny, and found that the little plastic gear in the tranny was all screwed up. And there isn't a speed sensor on it, it's either your speedometer cable or that little gear. -Joe

Hey, i've recently obtained a 87 626 Turbo GT, with a 2.0L DOHC Turbocharged engine. I was wondering if anyone has tried to put this engine in a MX-3, or if it would be worth it.
