yeah that doesn't seem very fun... But the thought of silent valvetrain might be worth it!

I know custom work isn't easy. Believe me I know that of all things. I just did a crap load of body work to my car before painting it and that was very tedious. Its like anything though, you can dump a pile of money and/or man hours into something and it can still very much suck. Like take myself fo...

Where can you get these shims and how much do they cost? Changing over to the solid lifter design will forever eliminate lifter tick correct? Ahhh just imagine it.... a quiet K-series valve train.... Also, why do the millinia S model engines have solid lifters and we don't?

Holy ---- that is nasty. I can't beleive I haven't seen that before. WOW that person had a severe lack of taste. The headlights got it going on. But the front bumper doesn't even come close to lining up flush with the hood. And that rearend.... Why god did that guy have to choose an MX-3...

F1 cars also have their engines rebuilt after every race! I don't know how you can say a RX-8 is exciting to drive. I guess I just don't like rotaries. I like power too much, and rotaries for the most part have none. And when they do, they blow up.

What do you mean shimming them? I haven't really done anything with my valve train so I really don't know much about how our lifters work. But what do you use to shim them. And besides loosing the tick, is there any performace gains? I spose if you have a lifter that ticks, its prolly not opening th...

I was thinking about doing that a while ago too. But the exhaust between the two is too different. Its just piping so if you can weld anything is possible but it would kind ruin the point of having a cat-back then. Cause you would have to cut the SS mandrel bends.

A early year 240sx fastback that is in good condition should be ALOT less than $5000. That is quite steep unless it has alot of stuff done to it.

Definatly would be like a first gen 240sx fastback, or a first gen talon/eclipse AWD. I used to have a talon AWD TSi but couldn't afford it at the time so then came my mx-3.
