My friend's GS with 1.8L V6 certainly seems to have drums on the rear by my semi trained eye....

Rear Discs?
I'm not big on the whole MX3 trim levels, but did any of them come with rear discs? If not, does anyone know if the rear spindles from a PGT/6LS would be compatible with the 3 so as to perform a rear disc conversion?

I second the above. The caliper should hold the rotor on unless there is something very amiss in your front caliper.

Watch yourself on the ECU as it changed in 95. OBD2 vs OBD1. You're gonna want the older one to make everything as easy as possible with the swap.
