Another KLZE Project Started - My ZE and Pile O' Stuff

Well, thanks to all the helpful and knowledgeable folks on the board I just got done assembling my mess o' parts to start getting the ZE swap done on my '93 GS. The final piece of the puzzle, the ZE, just got shipped in from Noyan last week and today I got my first look at it. Here's a few pics: htt...

I've got this exact combo (ZX2 struts + H&Rs) on my GS. I put them in around October of '03, and they're still doing fine so far as I can tell. The roads around here are really bad, too....so if mine are surviving I think anyone would have good luck with it. I'll let you know if any of mine are ...

I'll attest to the TWM shifter...I've had mine for a while now. A quality piece that definitely makes a huge difference. Add some of the SRD pieces too, if you have a chance.

I have the ZX2's plus H&R springs and did this conversion myself. If I recall correctly, the strut mounts can be re-used no problem. It's actually the upper spring perches that will have to be modified (enlarged by grinding with a dremel or similar tool) to accept the larger size bearings. I hav...

Hi Gro, Well, I've got two sets of wheels/tires for the car. The original 15's, and a new set of 17's with low profile rubber. Regardless of which set I have on, it's the same feeling....but seems to be within the suspension itself, and doesn't seem to be related to the wheel/tire combo on the car, ...

Vague Suspension Feel

Hi All, I have a 93 GS on which I performed the ZX-2 strut conversion....matched them with H&R springs. I also have a Corksport front strut tower bar and SRD aluminum crossmember that I installed. Needless to say, this setup has very nicely improved the firmness and handling characteristics of t...

Wanted to revive this topic as I'd like a bit of advice. I've got a '93 GS and want to get the KLZE swap done this spring or summer if possible. I was toying with the idea of having A-SPEC in Canada do the swap, since they specialize in it, could likely source the engine, and I'm not insanely far aw...

Hey, thanks for all the recommendations. Question: how long did it take A-SPEC to perform the swap for you?

Re: KLZE vs. KLDE - Practical Considerations

Thanks for all the feedback guys....and sorry for the delay in responding. Basically it sounds like the ZE would be just about as serviceable and last as long as a DE...it would simply cost a bit more up front. I've got no problem with that, so I'm guessing I'll go for the ZE when it comes time. As ...

KLZE vs. KLDE - Practical Considerations

Hey All, No, I'm not going to ask which is the better swap from a performance or monetary perspective (ZE from everything I've read). I'm also not looking to do any forced induction. What I will ask is when it comes to long term reliability , repair work , and overall market support , which is the b...

Hey, I've got that exact combo, ZX2 + H&R. Pretty happy with it...low, but not ridiculously low. Anyways, these aren't the best pics, but they should give an idea. <img src="http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/6/web/582000-582999/582105_4_full.jpg" alt=" - " /> <img src...

Re: GOT MY RIMS FINALLY!!!

I really like the look of those rims as well...in fact I've been looking at buying a set of Konig Tantrums which almost look identical. So, my question is, are there any differences in price or quality between the Konig or the Motegi wheels? In my searches I've seen very little price differences (al...
