Jordan, may I recommend a good read on the attached thread. There's some good info that you can gleen from this stuff. Although millaj01's pics are apparently no longer supported, I think you'll find that that has to be one of the best sourced ZE's I've ever seen. I think he was prudent in being sp...

Ya, big time high idle. TPS adjustment time for a start. Also, I've noticed with a fair amount of new ZE installs is that the throttle cable routing needs to be freed up a bit and allowed to go straight over the IM and curve back to the firewall so as to have the straightest and least restrictive p...

Progress so far....(video)
Wanted to post a quick video....it's basically just a walk around of my car from exhaust to engine bay featuring a KLZE soundtrack. :D Definitely not as exciting as the footage Gro posted a while back, but more of a thank you to the board. Culmination of a ZE swap, OBX headers, 2.25" custom exh...

Thermosensor is in...HOW-TO Guide
Well, I've got the 2nd thermosensor in my car and it definitely seems to have made distinct differences in how my engine is running. Just feels much happier....:D....although I still have the cut-out issue that this post was originally about. In any case, the install wasn't without issues and I had ...

Okay, as I expected my old engine was done away with by the garage that did my swap (I had no real way to bring it back to my condo, nor any place to keep it unfortunately) so I had to order a new sensor from the dealer. Should be picking it up tonight. I also went ahead and bought all the tools req...

I just posted all this info in another thread but here it is again.. Sorry to have you guys rehash the same topic....didn't think it would have been covered in detail already.....but I've been a member of this board long enough to know better. :) Thanks again for reposting. In any event, I'll gathe...

I What you're probably missing Jay if you did not import your K8 filler neck housing (which is a direct fit), is the first black 2 wire thermosensor ahead of the filler neck. There's a flattened machined surface there (or should be) where you would have to drill and tap for that thermosensor. The g...

Well, the fans only come on after about 4-5 minutes after the engine was cold started....it's not immediate. Hadn't taken a close enough look at the wiring harness plugs near the coolant filler cap. Looks like there are a total of four connectors....and yes, one of them is simply sitting there unplu...

KLZE Brief Cut Out During Warm Up
Hey All, Since I've had the KLZE swap done I've been addressing niggling little issues here and there, and have one more to diagnose. It's kind of odd, but basically within about 5-10 minutes of the engine running the engine will very briefly (about half a second) cut out almost completely.....RPMs ...

Sounds like they need to adjust the clutch too..Tunes67 I ended up fixing the friction point on the floor problem myself.....I just used the clutch pedal adjustment screw that a lot of other people have referred to. I honestly didn't think it was going to make much of a difference, but jeez, it onl...

Hey John and ProjectMX3..... I'm about 20 miles north of Detroit....which would be about an hour and 30 minute to an hour and 45 minute drive to west Lansing....... I sure would love to meet some other MX-3 enthusiasts at some point. I don't know if I'm comfortable taking the new transplant on any l...

Yeah, the 'cute' comment is common....I've heard that from women a number of times regarding my MX. Actually, one time I found a note under my wiper blade from a girl that said she 'totally loved' the car and wanted to buy it. No Sale! sez I. Of course, I should have called her back anyways and aske...

Good news: the ZE is in the car. It runs. :D Bad news: the blokes at the shop said they'd clean the engine bay before putting it in. They didn't. :x Pretty irritating. Looks like I'll have to put some love into the engine bay on my own after all's said and done. In the meantime, here's my clean engi...
