there are many ways to do it...
the way we did mine was to create a recessed area so that the gas cap is flush with the body panne...you can just bolt it on, but it looks a little **wierd**.<p>Bondo is ghetto.

thanks for the props... here's my 2 cents: Body work is about quality, if you plan on showing your car then the workmanship should be flawless, you should also put some thought into the work being done ( dont just do it for the sake of doing it.) oh yeah...and the propper tire size for 17 inch rims on an mx-3 is 205/40/17...not sure what you are getting but with this set up you should have no rub, it also depends on the offset of the rim...

I wouldnt worry about it...what width are the rims? 17x7 or 17x7.5? with my 18x7.5 rims and my 3.5 inch drop, in the rear i have to use a small spacer to keep the rim from rubbing on the strut( 1/8" spacer). If you have an inch of clearance between the wheel and the strut you should be fine.<p>...
