SPEC makes really good stuff...they also have FANTASTIC customer support!!! I'm running their 9lb Alum. flywheel...used to run ther stage 3 clutch disc with a ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate. It held up to its power rating (around 485lb/ft torque for that setup). I had to upgrade and went with a clutc...

The OEM valvetrain is quite strong. If you up your oil pressure like I did you can spin it to 8000rpm no problem. I've got 15,000+ miles on my B6T head with insane abuse to it...last Friday night I twisted a chromemoly drive shaft in half at Natural Bridge Drag Strip....would have be a 6 second pass...

The VRIS is bad! We had problems with it on Timmys car back when we slapped a Mitsu16G turbo on it with left over parts. When the VRIS changes you'll actually see the engine lean out for a second as it can't compensate for the quick change (the position your map sensor is reading from makes a differ...

Which B6T rods are you running? The GTX rods (which have a larger base at the bottom of the beam and a little larger rib up and over the wrist pin area...they may even be a stronger matterial, but that I don't know) I'd estimate they'll hold up to around 400WHP for a good while as they were used in ...

Yes I have, I've also seen dyno comparrisons of straight, tappered, and w/ velocity stacks. The highest flowing is to use a tappered runner tappering no more than 3 Degrees per inch down to just a hair under the stock port size the utilize a velocity stack on the top. There are a LOT of different wa...

300WHP @ 18psi on your turbo is a good sign. Crank up the boost and you should be able to get around 400WHP on the stock intake manifold.

lol...sorry to hear about your radiator....check my reply I just left on your Intake Manifold post.

P.S.

Welcome to the blown stock radiator club! :welder:

not close enough, I think....I'll dig up a BP & B6 manifold out of my building and compare them. If you want we can make you one, I can now weld aluminum with the tig. I just got to weld AN fittings on my new aluminum radiator...we custimized it to work as it is designed for circle track Chevy V...

400+WHP for way over 10,000miles on a open diff 5-spd Pro LX tanny. I use Lucas 80w-90 Gear Oil with one bottle of Lucas Transfix...thats what has held it together. The trans in the car now has a Mazdaspeed LSD with the same Lucas lubes. And yes I've pounded the CRAP out the gears...current setup it...

With my open diff setup & 245/50-R16 tires a Hybussa could only pull 3 cars on me in a 1/6th mile from a dig. This was with the clutch slipping. We are going to the track this coming Friday with the LSD setup. My 60's with the smaller tires was 2.4sec. as they just went up in smoke if I tried to...

400HP is possible on the stock head but it is going to take a LOT of pressure to get it there. My B6T head has the Corksport 323 turbo cams, ARP studs, smoothed ports, 3-angle valve job. The key here is pressure and port velocity. I've ran 30+psi on pump gas on my setup. Its all in the tuning. You h...

I started my build with a 1.6L B6T engine (DOHC). Then bought 2 more. You can find them in the 88-89 323 turbo's and the early 90's Mercury Capri XR-2. I chose to build the piss out a 1.6L for the challenge of making BIG HP on a small displacement engine. My recommendations for your build: To swap f...

Try http://www.clutchnet.com or http://www.specclutch.com For around $800US you can get a 12lb aluminum flywheel, 3-puck sprung hub metallic disc, and a 2300lb pressure plate from Clutchnet. This setup is rated at 600lb/ft. torque capacity. My first setup was a ACT simi-metallic street disc, ACT hea...

Lucas 80w90 Trans Fluid w/ 1 bottle Lucas Trans Fix.

15,000+ miles on a Pro-LX box at 400+WHP and hasn't broke.

Only down side to adding the Trans Fix is a cold gear box needs to be shifted gently for the first couple blocks...after that it loves to be slammed through the gears!

I believe it is you that lacks a little knowledge about rotaries....The only time apex seals go are if you detinate. If you upgrade to 3mm apex seals then it is like a piston engine and you'll have enough time to back off before it is to late. I've seen stock 13B's put down 700+HP on the stock 2mm a...

It needs to be modified to fit as the throttle body sits almost on the pass side shock tower. See my cardomain site pics to see what it takes to make it work.

Your best bet is the DOHC MX-3 cyl head with the matching intake manifold. That head is supposed to flow better than the B6T head anyway.
