Re: injector resistance and pressure
Hummm. Mine was J-SPEC B6T from Corksport. The injectors that came with it tested as High Impedance... I wouldn't think Corksport would do something like that. Really doesn't matter though since the motors are supposedly the same. That is an interesting bit of info though!
The moral to the story....

Re: Reman T3 from JGS turbo....look!
Material: 304 steel: proven time after time....NOTORIOUS for cracking! 321 steel: lasts a life time best steel for turbo manifold, most commonly used in equal lenght runner manifolds. WEDELS: second best material to use in manifold construction. VERY strong! CAST: best material to make a manifold fr...

Re: when metalic head gasket and stronger studs are needed?
You could always go with the MSD 6-BTM ignition which has a ****pit mountable timing retard nob which allows you to retard the timeing 1-3 degrees per pound of boost with a maximum retard of 15-20 degrees (I think it's 15). MSD also sells just the Boost Timing Master also. You might want to invest i...

tough call there! When I do my tire set up I'm going with a set of 275/50/15 Nitto NT555R Drag radials ($150 each) on a set of 15x8 (5.5" backspace) Wheel Vintiques O6P Series Race Wheels designed specificaly for sport compact drag racing ($60 each). As for street tires I'm proably going w/ a s...

Re: when metalic head gasket and stronger studs are needed?
It also depends on what size turbo you are using. Keep in mind that a larger turbo is flowing MUCH, MUCH more air (cfm's) than a small turbo. For example. If I were using a t3 capable of flowing enough cfm's to support 300HP at full boost (26-28psi), it's recommended to run no more than 18 psi to st...

Re: Reman T3 from JGS turbo....look!
I REALLY hope that manifold is 321 Stainless Steel or your gonna have a lot of problems with cracking! Who did the manifold? What materials were used? They are hopely good at calculating & reproducing the correct exhaust sign wave right? If they didn't engineer it on a correctly calculated sign ...

Re: injector resistance and pressure
There are a few rare cases when the J-spec B6T's come with High Impedance injectors. Mine did.

Re: Escort GT motor
No you don't have to shave the slave cylinder release rod. I have the MX-3 slave on my Pro-LX drive train. If anything the release rod needs to be lengthened because it just BARELY releases. I'm swapping in the Pro-LX slave to see if there is any difference, but when I got the slave it didn't come w...

Re: injector resistance and pressure
No there not an overkill. I'm running RC Engineering 440cc Miata fuel injectors on my J-Spec B6T (I have the IHI VJ14 now, the VJ13 broke the turbine shaft in half in two different spots). This summer I'll have my 400HP custom built T3 that bolts to the stock manifold...HeeHAAaaaaa. I'll be running ...

If you switch to the BPT or GTR ECU you will also have to swap their wiring harness & some sensors in with them. But yes it will work fine.

Re: intake gain
The MX-3 4cyl B6 series motor only sees a gain of around like 5-7HP to the wheels with the PRM Jet Stream Intake (probably the best one out there for the MX-3). However this will open up the intake tract to flow more air which will help you see small additional gains when adding other mods. Everythi...

Re: highest hp that a bpt or b6t
Even if I made them fit.....I think they would think somethings up after I twisted a couple of their drive shafts completly in half in the a only a month. 600HP would SHREAD stock axles. The stock axles are said to hold up to 300HP (Corksport's data). That's why I'll be going with custom www.drivesh...

Re: highest hp that a bpt or b6t
That was a roundabout price. Derick said the diff itself was maybe $600. The other (not yet determined) price along with the diff was for the custom stub shafts that they have to custom mill. I'll have to wait till they come up with an actual package price before I decide on buying.
Thanks for th...

You could also use mirrored plexiglass. That way you can drill or what ever you want. Or if you need something stronger go with mirrored Lexan. Check your local auto glass shops.
