Timing and plug order makes a world of differance! Distributor cap, reading it clock wise, should fire 1-3-4-2...if you get it out of order you'll have a nasty miss. When you set it to TDC make sure your on the end of the compression stroke which is the beginning of power stroke. With the timing cov...

LOL...everyone is always scared of nitrous! Nitrous does the same thing a turbo or supercharger does plus it makes the intake charge MUCH cooler! The reason nitrous has such a bad rep is because people don't understand how the systems work and end leaning out the engine. They size of the shot only d...

Depends on the tuned state of the car. If it was tuned to run on 87 octane you'd be ok. If not then it could detinate under boost. If detinated lightly for a long time it will eventually wear the engine out. Things to look at are the spark plugs. Pull them out of each cylinder and look at the electr...

It's now where close to the same COUNTRY in strenght compared to the Quaife LSD! How do I know? Because I blew my Mazdaspeed LSD apart along with twisting 3 sets of axle splines and shearing a custom stub shaft (aquired through Corksport) completely in half. All in 30 ft at the drag strip about 8 mo...

You would want to put the air/air Intercooler between your front bumper and the radiator (or between the front bumper and AC condinsor if you have AC). You want the air coming in the front bumper to hit your intercooler first. If you want to place an IC in the engine bay you need to go with a liquid...

No video's for me yet as the car hasn't run since I broke that custom axle...it also twisted up the V6 driver side axle splines and blew up the Mazdaspeed LSD all in about 30 feet. As for this topic...The big 16G turbo is way over kill if you only want 200HP...it is capable of supporting nearly 400H...

The Mazdaspeed LSD isn't going to cut it. Last trip to the track I had the following: -Mazdaspeed LSD -V6 MX-3 driver side axle -custom center axle bar w/ larger than Pro-LX outer axle -92 Pro-LX gear box -Clutchnet dual diaphram pressure plate -Clutchnet sprung hub 3-puck clutch disk -Lucas 80w90 g...

The side mount method can work and so can rubber IC pipes...are they the best?....Hell no!.....does it work....yup. A few years ago we had a NA BP MX-3 and decided to use my brothers car's stock parts and lil Mitsu 16g turbo for a sleeper from hell. We fabed a whole kit using the OEM dsm parts...sid...

LOL....you don't need a shot unless you use a xtra stupid big turbo....ie GT4088R on the 1.6 engine....then there is always anti-lag with standalones. You spray to spool anything smaller than 3076r and your gonna have nothing but tire smoke! Thats if the differential doesn't break first. As far as y...

Have you took it to the local parts store to have it scanned for codes? I know on the 1.6L SOHC you had to jump the test engine pin (TEN) of the diagnostic plug to the GND pin. This will put the ECU in test engine mode and it will flash any trouble codes through the check engine light. Long flashes ...
