Re: B6 intake and VICS
Your welcome. 16g will be fun and hard to beat for the money! With the AEM F/I unit let me know how it goes and which one you used....I'm wanting the Accel DFI Thruster EFI and for around $1000 it's about unbeatable untill you go $2000+...DFI Gen 7+, AEM Pro, Motech, and a few others. The Thruster E...

Re: B6 intake and VICS
VICS=PITA (Pain in the A$$) tuning when turboed. On a OBD I setup we simply disconnected the diaphram and tyed it open (used S-AFC, Pro-LX ECI, RC-440 injects with Mitsu 16G turbo on NA BP @ 16ish psi). You can tune around it but you DEFINATELY need a wideband, standalone, and datalogging or you sho...

Re: MX3.com quarter mile time list
I got a nasty itch to take my car to Diwiddie, VA on a Friday night before the end of this season and roast a 1/4 one time before they kick me off the track...I bet I can trap 130+MPH on a open diff....last trip to 1/8th mile resulted in bye bye axles and MS-LSD clutch pack exploded. Cars been sitti...

Re: Extreme Transmission Lubricant Comparison
I'll argue on Lucas products as I'm the only person on here holding Pro-LX Gear boxes together at 500HP levels. It's the only gear oil I've used that has NEVER allowed a drive train to fail on me! Redline has failed on this setup at lower power levels. I'm using 80w90 Lucas gear oil with one bottle ...

Re: apexi question
Yes the AVC-R's will work with any car. It is just a matter of getting the pin outs and wiring diagram for the ECU you are using. Follow the AVC-R wiring instructions VERY carefully (especially the grounds) or you can cause damage to it.

Re: Nitrous and Turbo......
When using nitrous AND boost you have to have even more fuel added for the given shot. a 50 shot can produce 75+HP when sprayed under boost. This is do to the additional cooling of the intake air. Nitrous is around -126ish degrees Farenheight when it boils in the intake manifold becoming a gas. For ...

Yes a Fuel Cell will fit in anything. See my cardomain page (link in my signature below)to see what a JEGs 10 Gallon Aluminum Fuel Cell looks like in the back my 93 MX-3 with -8AN SS-braided fuel lines and a 110GPH@60psi Accel DFI fuel pump....its how I feed 500+HP on pump gas  . A custom Alum...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
I've been higher than 30psi a few times at this comp ratio on 93 oct pump gas. No detination because my turbo is so large the air charge is still cold enougn. ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
Lol...compression & boost limits. I'm running 24-26psi on pump gas with a compression close to 9:1. I was told by the mentor I purchased my pistons through that Wisco told him that my pistons are 8.5:1 but since they are .020" over stock bore size that the become 8.7:1. Then we shaved about...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
I pushed 24-26psi with my GT3076R on pump gas to the lil B6T version and it took it for 10,000+ miles before snapping the cyl. 1 rod just below the piston (cyclic fatigue). It had the small miata rods, the small nose crank, and the stock cast B6T pistons running stock clearances...well I did hone th...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
Thats funny....the B6 & BP are virtually the same engine with the exception of the displacement and block/head/cam/crank length. Don't see how it is a piece of crap compared to the BP? Same damn engine...lol...Bp is just bigger bore and stretch block. My point is that you all WAY under es...

Re: B6 Turbo Manifold
All this smack talk on the 1.6L...funny....my 1.6L propells me to 135+mph 1/4 mile trap speeds on a granny launch  Averages about 22-24mpg even when playing on the street....long highway trips with play at a minimum yields 34+mpg. Lime...you need to quit dilly dalling with that meek boost and ...

Re: how much boost do you think i can run
The B-series DOHC engines can reliably hold around 300HP with excellent tuning. Boost pressure isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Replace your headstuds with ARP Miata head studs and a Fel-Pro MLS head gasket and it will hold more boost than you can dish out until you reach the 400HP mark then i...
