NGK V-Power...Same plug used by most all the Pro Top Fuel & Funney cars. The V shaped electrode throws the spark to the outer edge of the ground electrode...probably where split fire got their design. The differance is the NGK plugs don't colapse like the split fires are notorious for doing in e...

A Stock 13B rotary can make over 700HP with no internal mods. The only reason rotary engines blow up is in most part due to to aggressive tuning. It only takes a few light pecks of detination to blow a rotary. With out the detination I'd say hands down it is one of the THE strongest engines EVER pro...

Just out of curiosity what did they set your ring gaps at? If the gap is to small it can cause this to happen as well. When making big power you want the ring gap looser than stock as the pistons swell when heated. Also find out what they set the piston to cylinder wall clearance at. I know we did m...

You can always drill into a oil galley from the out side then tap it to the size you want. BUT...make sure you do this to an engine block that is comepletly disassembled and make sure you flush the block out with solvent into an appropriate collection container (see your local laws for disposal). If...

Look at the front, right side of the block (where the transmission bolts to the block). There should be two bolts in the block (below the freeze plugs). The upper left one is a water jacket and the lower right one is a main oil galley.

Very well said! For you rotary guys, friends, etc...check out Pineapple Racings specialty apex seals. They are designed to break at controlled points when subjected to detination which in most cases will save the rotor housings and end plates. The stock and most other apex seals take out nearly ever...

The Haltech E6K is darn near identical to the E6X but is the older dos version. It has a good bit of control except it doesn't run closed loop nitrous conrtol or throttle position maps overlaying the standard speed density maps. The other thing I'm looking to use when spray monster shots of Nitrous ...

Sensors depend on what system you use. The Microtech uses your OEM sensors in most cases. The other systems usually lean towards GM sensors and can be bought with the correct sensors upon initial purchase.

Another good book to read is "Tuning Accel DFI 6.0" Between the two of the books you'll be ready to start tuning. Read them more than once and referance the tuning section in the other book. "How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems" is the best book I've read for learnin...

Large duration isn't good for low end torque. At slower rotational speeds large duration cams have HUGE overlap. Thats where the lope sound comes from on large V8's. During overlap you have massive intake charge contamination from the exhaust pulses reverberating back up into the cylinders. Not only...

Mega Squirt isn't a bad system, more control than a S-AFC but no where near the control of the Microtech, Haltech, Accel DFI, Electromotive, AEM, Motech...or the likes. Those systems have more tuning points and the new systems also overlay TPS maps over the normal speed/density maps. Can run closed ...
