Spoiler Idea + PS request.
Some kid has a 4 banger mx-3 in my town with a HEE-YOOGE aluminum wing, and every time I see it, I can't help but think "this has got to stop." We need a more subdued aftermarket spoiler for our mx-3's. And as I was thinking this, I passed by a camaro RS. What if there was a lip style spoiler ...

1st time at the track
So, I took my k8 to Great Lakes Dragaway in Wisconson to run with people from Probetalk.
Saw some turbo'd probes and other interesting stuff.
I've GOT: PRM intake
Magnafart muffler
no back seats, spare tire, jack, seatbelts, carpet, wood thing,
My best run(of 3)was against a girl driving a ...

fluids are all okay. How do I check the belt tightness? Just pull on it to see if there's play?

Whining sounds.. Need some opinions.
Hey all,
Lately (as of last week) my car developed this whine on top of the engine sound. It sounds like when power steering is out and you turn the wheel Except that it's louder when it's cold, and it always whining. Sounds like a belt to me, but I know very little about such things.
Now some ...

Re: Put your thinking caps on for this one!
Just so y'all know...
All of the problems(according to my mechanic) came from having a leaky cap/seal. Not the one on the radiator, but on the engine. Apparently, even though I czeched the radiator, and the resivior(both full) I was down about 3qts of coolant. I feel like a total idiot, but hey ...

Re: moonshine for you car
My friend was a pilot and snuck some avgas (100LL) into his ford tempo. He put about a gallon in his tank when it was on E, and promptly drove to my house.
WOW!
Thing drove like it was on the bottle. We actually buried the needle in less than a mile. (105 or so)

Removing interior panels
When I bought my baby, it had a dent in the driver side quarter panel. It's above the front of the rear wheel well. Anyway, I picked up my car from the shop today (GOT HEAT!) and my mechanic said I could probably easily remove the dent by removing the interior and pushing out the dent from the ...

Re: Just a little question on some emission stuff
I literally just walked in the door from getting my emissions test.
My Carbon Monoxide composite was 12.0, which is within Illinois' 15.0 limit.
My hydrocarbons.... well.
I got a 1.74 out of an allowable .80.
My CO2 was 391.8, but I guess they don't test it in IL, so I'm probably lucky there ...

Re: should i get a mx-3
If you've done anything to your elantra, expect a pretty good size loss in performance when jumping to a stock MX-3, even a GS. I'm not gonna tell any street racing stories, but I know this firsthand.
Handling, on the other hand is oh so sweet, and I'm averaging 28mpg. Twice now, people have been ...

Clutch line (time sensetive)
Alright: My car has been in the shop since the 18th, needing a new steel clutch line. My Mechanic is ordering the part from a mazda dealership, and it was supposed to be here on the 23rd. Then it was supposed to be here yesterday, now it may take until next monday or longer.
I've read other posts ...

I've done it on two cars now, my brother's buick century t-type, and later, his regal t-type. We went to Ben Franklin(any craft store with fabric will work), and we bought 2 or 3 square yards(can't remember). We just picked out something that was the most felt like and matched the gray interior the ...

I play ultimate once in a while, but I disc golf at least once a week when it's nice out. I've got 11 discs sitting right next to the pc now. I have a friend who goes to Saint Olaf in Minnesota. He got to take ultimate and disc golf for college Credit! I am so jealous of the bastard.
