HEI distributor cap modification
So Doing the HEI Mod, I drilled into the cap where I assumed the metal from the center contact on the cap went to the spark tower. The drill slid off the metal but I was pretty sure the screw for the MSD power tower was making contact with the metal in there. I figured I'd try and test it figuring t...

Re: Mega Squirt III with V3.57 expansion
Thanks Ryan, at this point I kinda just want to get everything back up and running as soon as possible, so I think you've convinced me to go with batch injection even though I originally chose this version of Mega Squirt because it could do sequential. I hope to get a lot of work done on the car thi...

Re: Mega Squirt III with V3.57 expansion
Thanks for the link Jesse, gotta dig through all the Turbo DE posts. Guess that's to be expected on Probe talk. Actually wish I had gone that route instead of the ZE. Did you do individual cylinders for the fuel injection on your setup?

Mega Squirt III with V3.57 expansion
So I’ve been dealing with various ignition problems with my ZE. I decided to go the Mega Squirt route. I bought a MegaSquirt-III w/ MS3X Expansion V3.57 I haven’t seen any posts of people who have used this for both ignition and fuel. Has anyone done this? If so and you have a NA KLZE with performan...

Re: Rebuild or Swap
It depends on what you label things with  I labeled everything and had issue with my labels coming off of their own volition! Ohh Yeah all my post-it notes just fell right off too!! JK I like my KLZE swap, but I kind of feel like I should have held out, saved up some more money and rebuilt a D...

Re: '95 Millenia ZE Vacuum/Coolant routing
Just a tip for next time when I did my swap it was the first time I tried to do anything like that. I was paranoid that I'd F it up, so I took a bazillion pictures of the engine bay from different angles and distances, The pictures proved very helpfull when my labeling turned out to be inadequate.

Re: Panel replacement
Just wanted to give my 2 cents on panel glue. Back when I was doing body work, our shop had started using glue instead of welding if you have full panels to replace. We used a 3M product it was just as strong as welding. The nice thing is that it created an airtight bond between the panels. When wel...

Re: KLZE driving me crazy
Just an update. It seems that my biggest issue is that I was dumb. It was the charging issue that seems to have been the cause of most of the issues I had. I started trouble shooting the system and realized I had run the new wire on the Millennia alternator (which is supposed to go to a switched 12v...

Re: throttle body bolt torque
http://www.mx-3.com/manuals/showimg.php?file=/1995%20Workshop%20Manual/B2/B2-002.gif Note that on this page the Intake Manifold bolt torque has similar yet oddly different numbers as whats on the page posted here (F2-100) for the intake manifold. But on B2-002 it clearly shows Ft lbs. On F2-100 the ...

Re: KLZE driving me crazy
Unfortunately unless its a kit car or a car I built from the ground up, or a car older than 1980 something, it doesn't qualify for the Hot Rod/ Custom vehicle classifications and still has to have normal emission testing. So if disconnecting the EGR fixes my issue I'll just try and get it through em...

Re: KLZE driving me crazy
Thanks a lot guys, a possible EGR issue sounds very promising didn't think to check that. I was aware of the seat belt recall I put that in there kind of as a reminder to have them fix it, and because it may be draining my battery during what little time the car gets to run. Really hope this is an E...

Re: KLZE driving me crazy
On the Dino thing, thanks, something else to make me feel old :) I joined when I got my first MX-3 GS, had big plans but no money. So now almost a decade later I still don't have a running KLZE which was the dream since way back then. The good news is I've only been working on the KLZE for about a y...

KLZE driving me crazy
I was going to give this info to a dealership, and have them diagnose the issue. But as a matter of pride I'd rather not pay someone to work on it since so far I can say I'm the only person to wrench on it since I got it. If anyone has ideas on what my problem may be I'd appreciate hearing them. I h...
