Re: buying a mx3
Glad to hear of another Mx-3 enthusiast here in Wisconsin. Even if you dont have one yet. Where are you from? I used to live in Waukesha, but recently moved to Janesville. Though I'm still working in Milwaukee. If you ever get one and need help with it let me know.

Re: Thinking of new stereo
yeah, what BumpnGlow said. I really dont listen to rap either. The sub and components will make any kind of music clear and full. Contrary to popular belief Subs arn't just for wakeing people up in the middle of the night when you drive past.

Re: Thinking of new stereo
I think rather than 4 6.5s your money could be better spent on a single set of 6.5 components and a subwoofer. If you want speakers in the back I think a nice crossover would also be a good idea so you can cut the highs out of the back speakers and focus the soundstage to the front.
My 2 cents.
My 2 cents.

Re: :) Whats the dumbest thing you've heard :)
MX3 For Me: the thing is the topic isn't really the dumbest thing you've ever heard. Its the dumbest thing you've heard about mazdas or car stuff. So while the things in these posts do not, as you have said, mean the person is dumb, they do seem to indicate an ignorance about things automotive. When...

Re: Size speakers
Is the MDF better than just drilling and screwing the new speakers directly to the metal? If so why. Cause thats what I did. Seems to work fine.

Re: carbon fiber strut bar *finished pics*
Nice work. It would be real cool if you could share with all of us a Carbonfiber "How-to" post. I haven't seen much about how to do that stuff. Also saw your artwork. Very nice dude. I know you hear that a lot. It sometimes feels like it means more coming from another artist though. I was ...

Re: carbon fiber strut bar *finished pics*
When working with carbonfiber do you use the same kind of resin as with fiberglass cloth or is it different?

Hmm more of a 4 hour drive for me. Would be cool though. Unfortunately I'm a bit strapped for cash currently. So I may not be able to make it.

Re: Painted Calliper's
Primer and paint usually doesn't last very well. You want to use a high temp paint. And most of the high temp paints I have seen say dont use a primer. The best way to do this is to have them powder coated. A bit more expensive but not unreasonable for a color coating that should last better than pa...

Re: DIY body kits....?
Yeah, John93GS mentioned that a couple posts ago. Heres the thing, as i see it cutting the MDF ribs to create a form with the contours of say, a front bumper or side skirts, will use a good deal of MDF and become fairly heavy. You could make a "plug" (prototype for a mold) from that and ma...

Re: clicking noise when turning
Dont know if you had this fixed yet, but since I'm in the area, I would suggest taking the car to a place called CV Pro. They specialize in Axle work. Chances are it is the CV joint. If you or a friend have a Bucky Book (coupon book like those Entertainment books) There is a coupon in there. They se...

Re: DIY body kits....?
Ok, in my limited experience I believe the cardboard would work. It really doesn't matter what your using to shape the fiberglass as long as the whole thing is enveloped in the fiberglass. If you use the cardboard as a base and only coat one side with fiberglass you will want to pull the cardboard o...
