Yeah 2 1/4 is probably optimum, but I have 2 inch.

What is the best exhaust pipe size to use for a NA KLZE? I currently have 2 inch.

Your stock tranny and flywheel combo will hold the power of a ZE easily as long is its not boosted. It's what everyone uses and is a direct fit. I would suggest investing in an upgraded clutch assy though.

Your misfire is probably from the bad plug wire arching. Get that changed so you can rule that out. What throttle body are you running? You should be running a kl47 throttle body for your curveneck and kl31 or kl36 ecu with your stock je50 vaf. This is the combo you want for a smooth running ze.
