Re: Kegan's - 1992 RS - TrAnsFOrm!!!
I know how you feel to want to drive your car before you have to store it cause I have yet to get mine on the road.
I'm having a hard time sleeping at night...
Hopefully we will both have decent dry weather in October is all say.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: lagging under power/ back fire?
Can a bad disty cause back firing? http://youtu.be/a0tKWLxfocc back fire is crazy, its not only doing it with WOT now, its doing it as soon as the car starts. I always noticed my car sounded like a Subaru when the distributor was misfiring... Never seemed to backfire, but also never held at "W...

Re: lagging under power/ back fire?
Sleeper 6 was referring to your timing belt covers, not valve cover.
Yes on the distributor interchange if its from a 2.5L V6.
Definitely get that distributor changed out though for a known good one since I would say its probably
where your problem lies.

wastegate recirculation
Anyone running a recirculated wastegate on a V6 setup?
If so, how did you fabricate one and at what location on the down pipe did you dump back in?

Re: '94 KLZE w/ a side of WHAT THE *#&@
I wouldn't use brake cleaner, but I would agree cause I've had many cases of misfiring and was always corroded points on the cap.
Gasket was never bad, I believe it's condensation that overtime corrodes the points...

This looks like some universal flares that have been molded to the body? Looks good... IMO

Almost ready to hit the road!! Just waiting for front fender liners to come in this week hopefully and then its reg. & inspection. Been over a year since I last drove it, so it's time to get back behind the wheel of this revamped beauty. :driver: http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a620/Chris_Co...

Re: Sputtering help!!!
What year is your car? OBD1 or OBD2? Check the number on your ecu which is located under the dash behind the stereo to confirm what one you're running. Take the cover off near the floor on the passenger side to access. An 8000 rpm redline would indicate to me you have a chipped a-spec ecu or your rp...

Re: Sputtering help!!!
Hard to chase a problem with no codes. What ecu are you running? J-spec ecu's do not throw the check engine light. You can still check for codes though. If no codes are found, I'd say change the fuel filter, plugs and wires to rule those out as the culprit. Run some fuel treatment as well and see if...
