Re: cold bloodied V6
Yes, I run a kl31 ecu, but use my k8 ecu for checking codes. Only codes I have are for egr which we all know the J-spec ecu's don't use egr. I'm currently on my 5th distributor so its time to do the Hei and be done with all these spark issues I've been blessed with; past and current.

Re: cold bloodied V6
+1 on driving softly until engine reaches full operating temp. Full operating temperature before taking off, well I don't believe in that theory. Full temp before going WOT, that I strongly believe in. I've owned many 2 stroke dirt bikes and snowmachines where cold engine seizure is a risk if not pr...

Re: cold bloodied V6
I always let the engine reach full operating temperature before going WOT. The problem is now noticed at all operating temps and is cutting out/bucking only under load though... Boy does this sound familiar. I have no codes, so I feel my distributor maybe on it's way out. I am going to be changing o...

I am referring to a cold engine vs. warm engine, not a cold air intakemitmaks wrote:Actually my k8 runs great with cold air. Almost feels like I've done major engine upgrade, it loves that cold air.

cold bloodied V6
Anybody else's V6 cold bloodied? I always find I have a little hesitation when accelerating until engine has reached full temp; then all is fine... Hold On!!! I also noticed this when I had my K8 and now the same on my ZE with different ecu and throttle body. So is this normal for K series engines? ...

Re: filling motor mounts
Thanks Josh. Is it the general compound you use?
I'm not seeing 90 shore, but for everyday dd use what you'd you recommend for hardness?

filling motor mounts
My engine moves alot during normal and hard driving and is very jerky between engine braking and accelerating. Also, my shifter is squeaky which I feel is contributed to the movement of the drive train. Would filling my mounts fix this problem and which mounts do I fill? Are there any downfalls to f...

Re: KL47 Millenia intake manifold on DE
At one time I knew the size.
I used the threaded plug end of the egr tube that came with my headers and welded a cap on the end. Works perfectly for blocking off the port in the exhaust manifold.
I have another plug left over if interested I could weld it up for ya?

No, millenia curve intake manifolds are not stamped KL47Sleeper6 wrote:Ah my apologies then I stand corrected, are the Intakes actually stamped that way as well then?mx3_ryder wrote:millenia throttle bodies are stamped KL47

Re: KL47 Millenia intake manifold on DE
I ran a K8 throttle body on my millenia curve neck mani for awhile with no problems.
I suggest getting a KL47 throttle body asap though as you will be down on power.
I think there's 5+ mm difference in bore size. I noticed a big jump in power when switching over...![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Stock K8 exhaust maniflod vs. Headers on KLZE
Well I got to say, just had my exhaust redone with the stock logs back on and wow does it sound much better!!! :D Deeper sound, more tone much like the original 1.8L V6 sound and no rasp!! Sweet 6 cylinder eargasmic music!! The ZE purrs like supra with the stock logs... Butt dyno feels a lot ...
