few questions
Well, I'm thinking about putting some money into my 1992 Mazda MX-3 GS and am kinda wondering where I shall start. Everything is stock of course but wanna put a new air intake on it but have no idea what would look good or fit for a decent price? Also, does anyone know where I can buy some performan...

Re: MAF sensor
:crying: Ok, I thought I found a vac leak (one of the vacuum chambers had a plastic piece that a hose plugs onto that broke off and I JB'ed it back on) but still hear hissing around Cylinder 1 in that general area but can't pin point it. Should the two solenoids that sit on the back of the engine be...

Re: Hose question
Ok I found its spot! Its on some black thing that sits below the solenoid, does that come with it if u buy a new one? The plastic piece the hose goes over actually broke off inside the hose

Hose question
Ok, so i was trying to figure out if I have a vac leak (I can hear hissing sound) and saw this but have no idea where it is supposed to be plugged into (if anywhere? ) It comes out of the block between cyl 1 and 3 as shown in the pics: http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/1283/21707812560882085024910....

Re: MAF sensor
What do I need to use to jump the TEN and GND to put it in diagnostic mode? I looked in the manuals and can't find anything over this.

Re: MAF sensor
I wasn't able to adjust the idle and make it stop (it kept doing the same thing). Someone mentioned to me though that if I unplug the IAC valve and turn the car on and the surging stops, it is the IAC going bad. I drove the car with it unplugged and the car drove like s--- (of course) but never did ...

Re: MAF sensor
Nah the idle raising isn't much of a bother, just the surging. Any clues to what hoses are vac for brake system?

Re: MAF sensor
Yeah I ended up finding it my Chilton manual. I am simply at a freakin' loss to knowing what the hell is causing this surging issue with my car. Everything I think it could be turns out nothing and some don't make sense. I don't understand why it'd simply go from 700RPM at idle (only when car is in ...

Re: MAF sensor

Where is the MAF located on a 1992 MX-3 GS 1.8L? Also, what is a good way of testing it?

Re: Vac issue?
Nah I didn't wiggle any of the hoses but should of, maybe ill try it later. Nope, no codes either (i wish so it'd make this easier lol). I was just thinking if it was a vac issue wouldn't it cause rough idle and wouldn't be so specific? could this be something with my brakes? I just dont get why it ...

Re: Vac issue?
I went out and even sprayed Carb Cleaner on stuff and no change in idle and listened for any leaks and looked at hoses and can't identify any leaks. It doesn't help the manual page for the hose diagram for vac is extremely compact and barely can make out what hose is where.
