Re: KLZE Straight Neck
I've done some research on how much room there is to put in the straight neck and the curved neck and found out that the only annoying thing is the brake booster is in the way of the straight neck intake. I've got a straight neck KL on the way and was wondering if anyone could guide me in my next f...

Re: After market fpr stock k8
yeah I got 10 WHP by going from a chipped ECU to the KL36. If someone can make a better dyno proven chipset then that would be more desirable. and a chip is a lot cheaper than an entire ECU would be. How many whp do you have? Edit: I see, 168.9whp with a KL36 wonder if there is any power difference...

9.5:1 Pistons do they exist?
So supposedly the newer casts KLZE's are lower compersion.
Is there actually any proof that these 9.5:1 pistons exist? I've never seen any pics of them.

Re: After market fpr stock k8
Who makes chips run lean at lower rpm? fpr is a bad way to remedy that, if its even true. I'm installing my wideband today to read afr and change the stock timing and fuel map on the kl31 ecu. Just reread the thread, runs a little lean (too lean for best power, not destructive lean) overall. About ...

Re: After market fpr stock k8
Well.... Gains would be minimal. However seen members our club using to bump the pressure. KL31 run rich, now we have a guy that makes chips here but that makes the car a little to lean at lower rpms. A FPR is used to bump it back up a little. To restore the lower rpm powerband. Also the AFPR handle...

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
It's actually never stated what a KLZE actually is by mazda, or is it?
Anyway, Im currently running 10:1 Pistons + "DE" heads + KLG4 manifold. And I did bought some KL31 cams a while ago but they still need to go in. But think im going to dyno first with the KL-01's![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
Well in the example you just gave, it's not a full klze. kl01 heads and cams is a hybrid not a true klze. When people think klze, they think 200hp. They don't think 170 to 190. How mamy probe and mx6 owners would be happy swapping in a kl01 cammed engine? They'd hardly notice the difference. Of cou...

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
Ok here's one: KL31 ECU, 10:1 Pistons, KL01 Cams. < what's that? It's JDM Imported for sure. Also has the KL68 throttlebody, whereas the millenia/eunos has the KL47 Also i'm very sure that mazda cheaped out on some KL's for example the mismatch ports did come from factory. They also stopped using th...

Re: 5 Lug Swap American Style
Do you have 1st gen mazda Premacy there?
They can be used for the 5 lug swap I believe, they use the same wheelbearing as mx-3 and 323F.
That's only for the hub/lugs, so not usable for any kind of brake upgrade.

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
The only notable difference between the engines when you actually find a TRUE ZE is KL31 cams, high compressions pistons and the ECU which has better a more aggressive timing map. A lot of people here wank off to Eunos800/Millenia engines and call them ZE's. This is utter bulls---. They don't have ...
