Re: Oil pan
I've read a few times that the newer ones are supposed to be different. Redesign because nr 6 bearing often spun. In the pics they look different, or is it just the way the pic was taken? Now that i look at it again, there a the same i think. -.- I can't seem to find a pic of the new oilpan design. ...

Oil pan
Any one got a pic of the "old" design klze's Oil pan? Or can confirm that this one is an oil pan most klze's have? http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-IM8J4JYM.jpg Or is this the one? Or is this the redesigned ("new" KLG4/KL 2000+) one? http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-8RHXZ3DW.jpg By old i...

Re: After market fpr stock k8
Nah not logged anything yet, still have to connect half the wires
Only connected essentials for the gauge to work, but its suprisingly lean for the mpg.
Will post the results when everything is connected.

That's brilliant.
That could actually work very well, as use can still use original mounts, axles, ect. (if it fits in the bay that is.)
What about timing, can you just use the KJ timing belt?

Re: KLZE? Or What?
190HP is somewhat of an overstatement... There's no way 10:1 pistons opposed to 9.2:1 would make 20HP. And that would be the only real difference between the curve neck engines physically. The JDM versions have a knife edged intake manifold too (where it meets the throttle body). I'd look for EGR. ...

Re: Oil on top of front Valve Cover
Closest thing is the bolt there, between the wires.
They have rubber sealing under those caps, could be leaking from there.
Also check the oil cap itself.
My oil cap was missing the rubber ring and also leaked from there.
The oil could possible working its way in there while driving, dunno.

Re: KLZE? Or What?
That's jdm, you have the 10:1 compression. 190bhp engine. Pretty sure. The US millenia and Euro Xedos came with the KL-47. You can't really check very easy, I used an endoscope. Through the spark plug hole. But Kl-68 is 99% sure indication that it is an jdm engine. PS: the ventilation pipe does look...

Re: Idle Drop
You can cut the valve out and use it on your new hose, that's what I did. Just used the old piece, works fine now. As for idle, I'm sure with the new IM there has to be a leak or something uncapped. Did you replace all silicone hoses, check the vacuum chambers weren't cracked etc? Yeah its all new ...

Re: Need Any MX3 Veterans Assistance
Where would the ast number be located...and I have a 92 so up to what year can I use so I can keep the harness just extend a few wirez and such. Engine doesn't matter, u can use the 1992+ ecu with a 2000+ engine. Cast number can be found on rear bank on the left looking from the front. Somewhere ov...

Re: Need Any MX3 Veterans Assistance
If you can find a good DE, it would probably be cheaper... Try to find an high cast number millenia, cast 700.000+, then u have all the good redesignd stuff. :) What u need is an VAF from the DE and the ECU, for it to run properly. Everthing else can be used from the K8. The swap itself is very easy...

Re: After market fpr stock k8
Don't need to trick, I'm passing anyway (eventhough i'm not )
I'm welding op the nut for the wideband in 2 weeks, so than I can be sure what's going on.
Seafoam is not available here, but I haven't driven that many miles in the 2 years.

No EGR. Have some replacement O2's lying arround. Here's a (new) spark now (failed Emissions): As you can see, its also a black on the ceramic, except for idle. http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto550-BHSX33GR.jpg This is from a 2 years ago (passed Emissions): http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto550-4MJ4KSFJ.jpg
