I bought it at 160.000 KM and now it has run 165.000 Kilometers, so about 100.000 Miles. No clutch repairs noted. all stock i guess. But the sound ...

Re: KLDE swap
so iv'e checked the ECU, it has 3 yellow plugs, plugged into it. On the passeger side(right side). Also the diagnostics connector is under the hood, behind the battery. And the indentification plate says EA90, wich is produced from 1993-1996, according the allmazda.net If you have 3, than you can ma...

Re: KLDE swap
apperently the k838.18.881a is different, because u someone at my mx-3 club says he has chipped this ecu. he's running KLZE. is searched this forum too and there's some talk about this ecu, its really confusing. In the UK: '93 - K838-18-881A '94 on - K857-18-881 that would mean k838 where build 1993...

Re: Coil Negative
yes thats the yellow/blue signal wire. That comment made me laugh hehe. I'm no expert either that wy i asked :P. but B and C should be the same signal. both come from the coil negative. so i should be able to use either one of them, using a 1000 ohm resistor on the red wire or none on the y/b wire a...

Re: Coil Negative
by the way, im not doing an HEI mod (yet), so the stock Ignition Coil has already an 1K ohm resistor build in. Right? yes but that signal is interrupted. And the guys from my mx-3 club say it should be wire B on this diagram: http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/5594/dijnges.png Uploaded with ImageSha...

Re: Coil Negative
12v is connected to a igniton on source.
ground to body just under the A-pillar.
so i have to buy an 1000 Ohm resistor and put this between the coil negative and the signal wire of the tach?

Re: Coil Negative
yeah i know it should not be difficult. my tach has 3 wires 1 for 12v source 1 ground 1 signal so i looked in the manual for the correct wire, wich should be on the 3pin plug. I tried ALL 3 wires, but it is just not working. 1 of the 3 should work because 1 of the 3 IS the tacho signal. I don't unde...

Re: Coil Negative
The yellow/blue should be te tacho signal yeah, but the manual says connect to coil negative which should be the red wire.. but either way all wires aint working. I cant get a solid rpm rate. The original tacho works fine (so i dont actually need it, but its fun with the shift light and digital numb...

Coil Negative
Hi, I want to connect an aftermarket tacho on my 95 K8 V6 mx-3. Now everyone says that u need to use the red wire closest to the front bumper on the 3pin plug. However my wiring is differt. from front bump to rear: Blue Red Yellow/Blue so i tried connecting it to the blue wire, Rpm stays @ 0 Tried h...
