Re: indentifying hose/pipe

yeah u 2 are right :P, just took a look under the hood.

its not on the manifold, it runs to the back head.

foolish of me  hehe

but now that is sorted, whats the best option:

1: attach to intake
2: attach to oil catch tank
3: leave it like this

Ryan wrote: If I'm looking at the picture right, there's many hoses in that red circle.
the hose i mean is the one next to the throttle body, with an chrome breather filter connected on there.

as far as i can tell its connected to the IM.

Re: indentifying hose/pipe

okay, but that brings me to another question. on my k8 i had a breather filter on the ventilation. but now the filter is on this (see pic) hose is coming from the IM instead of the heads. But i guess i should just hook it up the the intake again, it is just for air/vacuum or something? or should i h...

Re: KLZE or KLDE or Hybrid?

he came to the conclusion, by comparing it to his own klze. (which he is sure of that it is an true ZE) this comparison was done on feeling, not timed or anything. he said it pulled harder than his at higher speeds. i do 75mph-100mph(120-160Km/h) in about 6,5 seconds but i'm running the "wrong&...

KLZE or KLDE or Hybrid?

so i've bought a new engine for my mx-3. its an kl-101 & kl-1a1 and a millenia intake manifold, so at first i figured KLDE and ZE manifold. however the guy swapping (which wasn't the same than the guy who sold it, so he had no reason to lie ) it for me said it was faster, than his true KLZE abov...

Re: KLDE swap

i've found an klze, so im probally going to swap that engine. took some pics of my ecu(see K838...). I will also have an KL-31 included with the klze buy. but i dont know if an K834 ignition works with an KL-31 ECU, as the klze has the KL-01 ignition. so i've got these options: Chipped k838 + K834 C...

Re: kl vs k8 transmission

@ whitefinish, just double checking, the tranny's are both in same condition. its a lot of money to spend and i don't want to be dissapointed.

@soloryder, it is an mx-6 tranny. And they car is more for fun, dont do lots of highway.

0-60's, drags that's what i like

Re: kl vs k8 transmission

I know its not new. I got this info out of the official transmission swap information thread. which you wrote i see. I know the k8 ratio is correct, says so in the manual. i assummed that the other one was for an mx-6, as you stated in that thread its of an 2,5l kl. but i'm not giving info I want to...

kl vs k8 transmission

so, i think i found a nice 2nd hand klze. only thing its equiped with an kl gearbox. and i could leave it, or swap for k8. so how much difference does it make. how much seconds will i lose on acceleration? how much top speed/milage will i gain? k8 Gear Ratios (Input:Output) 1st 3.307:1 2nd 1.833:1 3...

Re: help, what is this noise?

i do have noise in neutral.

i only need to order the right kit 225mm or 215mm, like i said above.

but for the mx-3 u can get different size clutches,

which one do i need? 225mm or 215mm? or do both fit?

Re: help, what is this noise?

yeah probaly its almost always the most expensive fix :S

but one more thing it doesn't happen instantly, with a cold engine i can not get the car to produce the noise.

Re: help, what is this noise?

didn't know there was an inspection plate, what i'm a looking for then? i'm really no clutch expert. it makes the noise with full presure on the pedal. but it could be that it not fully disengages, de noise seams to be less when im trying to push the pedal through te floor, but i can't go any furthe...
