Yeah that wrap around has to come off. Once its off it will leave a void where you will have to put a RS hatch garnish on. The mazdaspeed wing is one piece but it bolts to the metal sides of the hatch. The middle is left exposed so thats where the garnish comes in. There kinda common in the states. ...

It fits just fine bolted right up but you will have to glue bottom headliner piece or drill some holes and fit in the snap holder things into the bottom part of the moonroof other that its straight plug and play
