Oily spark plugs means that there oil getting in the combustion chamber somehow, piston rings, ect. When you get in the car turn the ignition to on, you should be able to hear the fuel pump prime from the back seat.

Also pull a spark plug or 2 and check for any oil on them, see if the ends are burnt while you've got them out.

I agree, it kinda looks like there are upside down pistons on top so you can have a glass top or something.
