What you think is the MAF, was supposed to be circling was is behind the air intake, which i believe is the idle air control, its connected to a black cylinder below the throttle? tahts what ryan told me it was.

well what I was circling about the IAC is not the tube running into the air intake, but BEHIND the intake, below the throttle, its a cord connected to a black cylinder. thats what I saw. If i could take a pic of that, i would.

ok, where is my IAC? and how do i get a cold air intake? and what is VAF?

so, how would the dif. temps effect the disty though?if it works at cold, but not when warm..why would that be?

Since i am new to this car, I ask you...why would a distributer start to malfuntion when at a higher rpm or temp?

Ok, so you suggest, take my throttle body off, and basically hose it down with brake cleaner till all the black sludge comes off? what about the stubborn gunk? what would you suggest i scrape that bit off with?
