and i still need to know if i can run the motor off of the stock 1.6 computer

other than the intake manifold the k8 and the kl look identical. its just like swapping the same motor pretty much

ok weve hit a snag a freeze plug got punched into the coolent spacing and its stuck in there. what should i do to get it out of there its the plug closest to the waterpump.
so do i have to pull the head? or the waterpump?

ok so i have to get a flywheel and custom pressure plate because i am going with the toyota e135 trans.

ok so today i got my hands on a bp in excellent condition. now im gonna take tomorrow and the next day to drop it in and make sure it runs ok. so eventually im gonna go megasquirt on it. but right now i cant find a protege ecu. so my first question is can i use the ecu off of my 1.6sohc just to test...

well my idea with that was to blow the 1.6 b4 i put in the bp.
unless you know someone that wants a beat to hell 1.6sohc with over 200000miles on it.

haha ok i didnt read much past why not to buy eaby turbo kits and that there not bad for 4cyls if you know what ur doing. well when i do my bp build there is a list of parts i need off ebay and most of em come in one of these so called kits. i was thinking just to buy some of the parts for my engine...

hmm i also have been wondering about how bad the kl blows with boost.
and i believe that the de and ze blocks are the same. im not 100% on this but i believe that the diffenences between the ze and the de are pistons cams and intake. other than that i dont know of any differences
