Re: Strut bar design
Well finally an update after almost a whole year.......... The delay has been my fault since life got busy and many things changed and I have not been able to get funds to Jim to start on this, so he ended up building this on his own dime and time but here are some pictures of a prototype Jim threw ...

Re: [WTB] 2 front hubs
Bump, I now only need 1 more of them.
Also looking for a EGT/MX3/Protege/Miata 15" or 16" Aluminum wheel for a spare tire, so condition is not a huge issue as long as it will balance.
Only those of you in the USA need reply since I am not willing to pay the extra for shipping from Canada.

Re: Manual steering swap combo!
Oh Josh, I was going to mention, I dont think you would want to retrofit electric P/S to your car. It might be nice to program steering feel, but when the system has a fault which is inevitable, the system is way harder to turn then a dead hydraulic system. Some cars give no warning that there is a ...

Re: Manual steering swap combo!
When you get autocrossing and have to make quick transissions that where you'll notices the down fall of the increased steering effort... You are right its not overly bad for daily driving... Mine wasn't.. But once I got up to competition speeds it was horrible... I had 3 other people drive my car ...

Re: Manual steering swap combo!
Yep thats true. I have a removed all P/S stuff from my car and disassembled/depowered the rack as well and its not that bad at all. I daily drive it as well. Having less stuff in the engine bay and not having a bunch of crap to potentially leak oil all over the place is worth it for me. Steering eff...

Re: Rear Trailing arm/ZX2 compatibility
Front calipers are the same, LCA are not the same though, they are the same as any other escort. Shorter then MX3 LCA and have a different sway bar mount. All 3rd gen escorts with rear disc brakes (rare) have basically the same rear calipers as a miata. Meaning you can use any miata performance pads...

Re: Big Brake Kit: Possible Group Buy?
Miata fronts have different mounting points. The rear kit can be used for BG/EC cars though like I did instead of sourcing Miata sport suspension caliper/brackets:

Re: Endlinks
Ace hardware may even have some left hand thread nuts, havnt checked yet. The current setup is this: Keep in mind this is on a Ford Escort The swaybar is disconnected in the front, and I am using the discontinued 22mm ZXtuner sway bar in the rear, which has swayber ends like the MX3 does, combined w...

Re: Endlinks
I dont think it will cause the bar to hang far enough to be an issue. The price was not that bad, but I dont know exactly how much for those since I bought a bunch of stuff at one time. Off the top of my head the turnbuckle is the most expensive part, and they are about $15 each, so I would say arou...

Re: Endlinks
Yes they are a little long, I should have got the shorter 2" turnbuckles. In the picture they are threaded in as far as they will go. I drilled out the right hand thread side a little more and tapped it so the rod end would go further in to shorten both of them more then is pictured but not by ...
