Re: Simple (almost) all Mazda Front Big Brake Upgrade

One thing for you- I had a Kia Sephia spindle and hub from the BG 94-97. I remember I tried to fit a corrado G60 rotor on the Kia hub and the hat on the rotor will not sit all the way down flush on the face of the hub because its slightly bigger then the escort hub I had next to it. The G60 rotor fi...

Re: SUSPENSION TIME(I dont want to lower)

The ES bushing for Escort/protege/323 front control arms work because I used them on my MX3 control arms I installed on my car, but you need to use the rear busing bracket from one of these cars for it to work on your MX3. I dont know about the rear trailing arms ones though, but I bet they are the ...

Re: ::BrakeIssues:: When car is started. The pedal goes to floor

if there are no external leaks, then I would say the M/C has an internal leak. Did you try to bleed it and see if there is any air and if the pressure is strong with 1 bleeder open and pushing the pedal down?

Re: KLG4 coil pack swap question

^^yeah I am sure there would be a few differences, especially since it would be OBD1 vs OBD2. I dont think the wire length would be a big deal, and then you should be able to use the OE MX3 fuse/relay box to run the fans just the same as normal I would think. I will be attempting this swap in the fu...

Re: KLG4 coil pack swap question

or you could swap the engine harness from the 626 if you really wanted it. I have since found out after sending an email to DIYautotune.com that the 98+ 626 is in fact a Ford EEC-V computer system, and thats why it has the 36-1 crank trigger wheel and coil pack setup on it.

Re: Simple (almost) all Mazda Front Big Brake Upgrade

I like your idea with the jig. thats excellent. Are you going to make this doable with FC calipers then? please? By the way there was a guy over on CP that made a Big brake kit on the cheap and was trying to sell them, but idk if he was very successful. He never would disclose what rotor he used for...

Re: Simple (almost) all Mazda Front Big Brake Upgrade

Nice find on the Mini rotors, I hope its an available option. I have a set of those RX7 calipers sitting in my shed collecting dust but you cant have them  They are indeed wide and could certainly work with a rotor that had a tall hat to push them in a little. The VW corrado G60 rotors could a...

Re: Chassis Stiffening, Suspension Ideas, Handling Improvements

On a change of topic from chassis stiffening, but still of importance to this thread, I have been reading into increasing track width lately. I know the protege's use our suspension parts to increase their track, but we don't have any available cars to swap parts from. Oh really? Well let me be the...

Re: K SPORT COILOVER PROBLEM

Post a picture of the problem to help understand whats going on better, cause from your description, I am not understanding how the length of the spring is interfering with your tire or tyre;)
What exactly is interfering with your tire?

Re: Simple (almost) all Mazda Front Big Brake Upgrade

I will either try to get some BA hubs or just cut the caliper ears off the BG ones and go that route

Re: Simple (almost) all Mazda Front Big Brake Upgrade

Well it looks like this may not work at all. I did some reading on another thread on CP and apparently someone already tried or was going to try the BJ protege stuff. He says it too far off. Part way down the post by "Geronimo" http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34040&pa...
