Weird Winter Windshield Woes
Hey guys, long time no chat! So I moved to Smithers, fully expecting the winter to be a little... well... chilly, but I did not expect what I saw on my windshield this morning... It was -26 overnight, totally clear night. Frost had developed, so i pull out the trusty ol scraper and scrape it all off...

It's gunna sound stupid and simple, but imma say it anyway...
I had a goofy stumble/sudden RPM loss during downshifting until a week ago. Only thing I did was (aside from regular oil change) new fuel filter and new plugs.![Shrug ](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)

Re: fuel filter
As far as the exhaust leak, I discovered one fun way to find out where it is: Seafoam. Dual benefits here: 1) Clean out the intake and valves 2) All that smoke is really thick, so it's pretty obvious to see where the leak is. Especially if you have the car on jackstands, and a buddy to press the acc...

Re: MX-3 Pride
Even though my car has incredible handling, there is no way I coulda gone after her without smashing into a concrete barrier, and then chasing her on foot is just lame

MX-3 Pride
So I was driving home tonight, and I saw this red MX-3 GS (mine's a red RS, so the irony was enough for me to try to catch the attention of the other driver lol) pull onto the road, about a block ahead of me. I started speeding up slightly (but within a safe limit), and caught up to this car, pulled...

Re: 2-way or 3-way?
My infinities are being fed right off the deck, which is a pioneer premier DEP410, which certainly does the job for me.
We have the 6501's and 62.9i's at work, i've always been a bigger fan of the kappas, mostly because i hate that screaching treble... but im an audiophile![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: 2-way or 3-way?
I've got the 62.9i's for my fronts, and am sooooooo impressed with them... excellent bass response, very pronounced middle, and treble that doesnt actually scream, but is quite crisp. And the crossover point on these babies is about 2000Hz, which is basically ideal. My installation was plug and play...

Re: Summer Tire Time!
I'm running Nexen N3000's... very solid ride, no road-noise, and they absorb a pretty good amount of bumps on the road. And really good traction... I can take corners on the highway at 120km/h, when the sign says 60... and without any wheel squeakage haha

Re: best brake pads?
I got Brembo drilled and slotted rotors with monroe pads, and I can still stop on a dime from 110km/h, with no noise as well ![Shrug ](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)

You know what? After re-reading this entire thread (and then taking a walk for 10 mins to stop laughing), I stumbled across a genius (maybe even rocket-scientist-type) idea...
We place this thread in the FAQ, with the title "What NOT to do"

Re: Sohc to Dohc Engine Swap
It's got one actual cam, but 2 rocker shafts (the pieces that actually open the valves), so that's probably what you saw.
And yeah, it's got a surprising amount of pull for 88HP... i still beat most off the line when I want to
