If its not a fuel problem (filter or pump) I would try another distributor, just for fun. Also check the resistance in your plug wires if they are not new.
Someone told me if you get caught without a cat its a $10,000.00 fine. Isnt the north already melting fast enough?
good luck

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
Since you have it apart I would do the cam seals and also the front & rear crank seals, can save u a lot of grief down the road for about 20 bucks.
Often when a motor sits the above seals can dry out and are a major pain to change with the motor in the car.
good luck![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: [WTB] 94+ Style A/C Controller (Canadian Style sliders)
There are no pick & pulls around here, But often they will let you have a look. There are 3 places with MX-3 near Granby, Roxton is the best, they have 4 or 5, Samson not bad, they got a few & LF, he s got some but the guy is a bit of a crook. Dunham also has 4 or 5 but the place is hard to ...

How much cash do you have all together with car? I live in Canada 5 mins. from Vermont border, I have 2 MX-3 but want to buy another one for the KLZE in it (its in Ontario). I want to upgrade my 1.8 to the KLZE but my 1.8 & tranny ect is still good. I was going to do an engine swap, I already bo...

Re: Please help! Battery keeps randomly dying of unknown cause!
That switch somehow sounds like a problem. What I would do is go to a starter/altenator place (I got 1 locally, you can yellow page it) have them test your altenator & battery, takes 2 mins. If tthat checks out can be wiring or starter.
good luck

Re: smokes when I crank it in the mornings!
For sure its just the valve seals, mine does the same and doesnt even take much oil. I have a small leak in rear valve cover and only use 1/4 litre 2000 km after oil change. I find it uses a little more as your oil gets old. I always like Engine Restore from crappy tire, its a bit pricey but seems t...

Can you go back to your stock distributor that you know that works well? MX-3 distrubutor ect. are finiky and anything wrong will really ruin your day.
When Nothing else works, go back to basics
