I cut the wire to pin 3... But i just went and tested and here is what I found. pin 3 (g on hei) never drops below 3 volts so pin ( c on hei) never fires coil..
I get voltage from 3-5 volts when engine is cranking on pin 3 but never a zero voltage...

Oh yea... before it quit it was running pretty good then went to go up a hill and poof... started bucking then went dead.

Checked fuel....OK there
Checked spark.. No spark.... THought is was igniter, but the hei mod is still not firing the coil.
I think it may be the cam position sensor.

all crank no fire
I have an mx-3 gs stock. It quit running yeserday, with no fire. I tried the HEI mod and I still get no fire.. Checked the coil and it is within specs... What else controls the fire? It is listing no cel codes. I am at a loss.

coil testing
I have an 1993 MX-3 gs and I am testing the coil. I am getting 12 volts on both the + and - leads on the 3 pin connector.. Does this indicate a bad coil?
