Re: [WTB] V6 5 spd engine wiring harness
Mainly I just need the engine harness, but as long as it's from a 5 spd I'll consider anything. Name your price.

Re: Interesting shut down problem
You might be getting an overheating issue with the ms depending where you have it mounted. If its near the stock ecu location, it's possible running sustained at higher rpm will cause the area to get pretty warm because of the exhaust especially if you remove any of the insulation in between it and ...

Re: De swap- No power
I was always taught to go pos first, then neg. That way if you do get a spark, that sudden jolt of power is just distributed through your ground and the power can level out. If you complete a circuit with neg then pos, you will almost always blow fuses.

Re: still burning too much gas...
It's a little bit of a long shot, but have you checked your thermostat? Unless you are on the highway for a long period of time or in very cold temps, you might not notice it. It could keep your engine in warm-up mode, using more gas in the process. It wouldnt take much of a temp drop to cause it to...

Re: I thought all 1991-1995 Mazda 323s had manual steering?
I believe most 323s in north america did have power steering. I had 2 basic models myself that had power steering, but there could have been an option in other lesser developed countries that manual steering was more widespread that offered the 1.3 and 1.5l engines.

Re: change the water pump w/o timing belt removal?
It isnt very hard with the belt still on, just do the same steps you would to remove the belt cover and then just unbolt the bolts for the water pump. You do have to wiggle it around a bit to get it out and the new one back in place, but it's definately less work than removing the belt and resetting...

[WTB] V6 5 spd engine wiring harness
Just like it says, looking for a v6 5 spd engine harness so I can get my mtx swap going and still have my vris working. I had 2 parts cars but both of the harnesses were butchered pretty bad. It doesnt have to be in perfect shape, but not having wires melted, broken, or connectors cut off due to som...

Re: Need Help - Rear Passenger break sticks. Ideas?
I'm not sure if you've checked them, but I've had flex lines collapse on the inside but look fine on the outside, causing it to randomly lock up that caliper. It took me 2 new calipers and a set of brake pads to realize that, so it might be something to check.

Re: KLG4 Swap
It wouldnt take much for me to take the whole engine harness including the fuse panels and modify it to work, it's just a matter of pinning it all right. I am familiar with megasquirt but I dont want to be tied up tuning for a while. The engine swap is just 1 project on the list along with an atx to...

KLG4 Swap
Hey guys, I found a 2000 626 with only 80,000kms on it, the only problems it had were brake related(I'm guessing ABS) but it runs perfect. I can get it for a great deal and I know it's OBDII, so the question would be am I better off swapping over the whole OBDII harness since I can get the full car ...

Re: BP charging problem
If you are seeing smoke chances are the belt is slipping or the alternator is seized. Did you check to see if it spins freely? Either way, I'd say it's time for a new belt. If you have access to a multimeter, set it to volts, whatever level is higher than 12v or you will could fry it and set it up +...

Re: pulling out the motor only?
Which motor are you swapping? I take it is a 1.6L, are you going to put in another 1.6 or going for another motor like a BP? It is actually pretty easy to just pull the motor, especially if the axles are stuck in the trans. Just get a few pry bars and unbolting the lower mounts on the trans will giv...

Re: Yep, another new guy question...
You'd be better off getting the whole car so you will for sure have everything for the swap you need and not have to go scavenging for small forgotten parts. You could use the rear disc brakes if you wanted to and it is basically plug and play if you swap in the BP harness and the mounting holes sho...

Re: MX3 1.6L I4 to 626 2.5L I4
I know a B2200 motor will fit into a festiva so it shouldnt be much of a stretch for a 2.3 or 2.5, but it would make it alot easier to stick with obd1. As far as I know, any B series motor will bolt up to a B series trans because all he had to do was swap over the harness, ecu, and notch a section o...
