http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redline322/pontstrutfront.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redline322/buickstrut.jpg I couldnt find pics of the one angled toward the rear, but at one time I did measure the straight one for a 323. I think the main bar had to be trimmed down an i...

Re: CorkSport (Or Any) Strut Bar On KLZE IM (56k Warn)
I've seen some factory ones on fullsize gm cars from the mid-late 90s that would be easy to mod and dirt cheap at a junk yard, most were straight but some were angled back toward the firewall to clear the 3800 s/c.

Re: FPR mod not just for V6s
I believe the stock pressure is around 35-40 psi, so I wouldnt go much further than 10 psi above that. Since you are using MS, you could narrow down the pulse width to the point that you still end up with the same or less fuel because the same pulse width at increased pressure will allow a larger am...

Re: Steve's 93 GS
I was originally thinking of just respraying black, but the car is original enough and rare enough around here that I wanted it to stand out. With there only being a handful of v6 mx3s and maybe a dozen 4 cyl mx3s within a 200km radius, chances are it'll be the first mx3 people have seen around here...

Re: What Engine Could Replace the KLZE?
Both are single cores 1" thick, but you could always mount 2 slim fans to keep it cool or modify the rad support so the taurus one fits. It's only 1" longer and 1" taller, so it's not like it is a big roadblock in preventing the swap. The bottom supports could easily be lengthened and...

Re: What Engine Could Replace the KLZE?
The rad from the taurus has the inlet and outlet in a similar style as the 4 cyl mx3 rads, but only a bit larger. The taurus rad is 28.25x14.62x1 with 1.5" inlet and outlet vs. 27.25x13.75x1 with 1.38" inlet and outlet for the 4 cyl mx3 rad.

Re: What Engine Could Replace the KLZE?
Both the Vulcan and the Duratec 3.0l look like they'll fit, with most of the modding would be for motor mounts and rewiring. Re: What Engine Could Replace the KLZE?
I'd say MZR or the duratec, they are both found in current Mazda products and have similar dimensions to ours. The MZR or L series engines are common enough in the 2.0l, 2.3l and we all know what the speed3 is capable of in all its turbo goodness. This might be a more viable option due to the smalle...

Re: Steve's 93 GS
I cant take full credit, my uncle is a licensed mechanic/body man. This is the 5th car he's painted for me, and he's taught me alot over the years dealing with prep work to get a good paint job. The paint color actually came from my first car which was another major rebuild project, so it kinda fit.

Got the fog lights mounted, most of the car is ready for paint and started painting under the hood and the inside of the doors. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redline322/FOGS.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redline322/doorjam.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redlin...

Re: V6 aluminum Radiator
626 and mx6 v6 rads will work, you just need the T union to run the lower hose for the expansion tank and the longer lower bypass hose. You can get by with cutting the existing hose and inserting the union or get the proper hoses. If you cant find a donor car, the part numbers are: KL56-15-189 and K...

Re: Steve 93 GS
It's been a while so I guess it's time for an update. The patch panel for behind the bumper is welded in, bumper is back on and I decided to go with electric blue metallic for the paint color. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redline322/back.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff320/Redli...

Re: a bit confused about wattage
The highest rating I've ever seen on a head unit is like 65x4 and those are all peak ratings, the numbers that really matter is the RMS number, which can be anywhere from 20-50% of the peak rating. Either way, with 1000 watt speakers you need an amp, look for something in the 500-1000 watt range, 4 ...

Re: No fuel at rails???
You probably have the fuel lines reversed, swap them around and try it again.
