Re: H&R vs Eibach ACTUAL lowering?(i have H&R,looking to rai
I installed Eibach sport springs with new Tociko blue struts on my 93 MX-3 GS in 1999. Ran those springs and struts until ~ 2010... changed to brand new Eibach springs to try and improve what I figure was spring sag from 10+ years of use... I recently bought another set of Tociko blue struts, and st...

Re: Spring and retainer from KL DE
Hey Daniel, I got mine from this guy, he harvests them from junkyards in the US I suspect, cleans and inspects them, then sells them as a package. You could ask him if he will ship to you overseas. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Probe-Mazda-626-MX6-or-MX3-KLZE-Spring-and-retainer-kit-/141202666919?pt=...

Re: [WTB] GS Front Lip !!! AND WRAP AROUND SPOILER !!! :D
Trust me, it has been close a couple of time for me, my ex tried to kill the 93 I bought in Jun 94 by running it into a Volvo 760 at 50-60 mph in the rain in the fall of 94 in the NL... luckily since the car was insured in the NL for value plus VAT (value added tax, a tariff all us spec cars in Euro...

Re: Another GS SE - #3 - Acquired 4/28/2013
Beeping and light are caused by the little passive seatbelt control box starting to go bad under the drivers seat. I posted a fix for this a long time ago... 1999 I believe when it started to happen to my 1993 GS when I was stationed in Germany: http://mx-3.com/tech/seatbelt-module.php You could try...

Re: Struts
The Koni Red Struts are adjustable. See link below for one store that has them: http://www.tunersdepot.com/mazda-mx-3-shocks-struts/ They are not cheap... plus you need to go with a good spring with them as well. Eibach makes good lowering springs, that are high quality and not too low: http://www.t...

Re: NGK iridium plugs
I just dropped a set in my rebuilt KLZE. Figured since I went with Colt Cam regrinds, new HLAs, and will be installing a MSPNP, Coil Pack install/distributor delete, VAF delete (IAT install with the MSPNP), and lightweight flywheel, $50 or so bucks for a new set of plugs won't kill me... Just starte...

Re: Another GS SE - #3 - Aquired 4/28/2013
Do you know when the timing belt and water pump were done last time? At 77K it should have had both plus a tensioner at ~ 60K. Those are all important preventive maintenance items to look at one you have it running again. If you have any HLA tapping, running a quart of ATF in the engine for 15-20 mi...

Re: Another GS SE - #3 - Aquired 4/28/2013
Make sure the ingnitor module is new, and not just tested and passed on to you in a rebuild distributor. The ingnitor module is the #1 problem with the distributor on the K08. Mine died in my 93 GS with no notice in Dec 11. This ignitor module was the upgraded brand new one that I replaced my stock ...

Re: [WTB] KLZE Pistons
Mine were crusty as well, but that will come off with carbon remover. I removed the rings and soaked each of my pistons with rods still attached in a carb/choke cleaner (I bought the gallon can with the little basket) that you can get at O'reilly's. That didn't get all the carbon of the top of the p...

Re: [WTB] KLZE Pistons
Are your stock pistons damaged or not reusable for some reason? If you are not going with an oversize bore on your cylinders, you can clean and reuse your existing pistons with new rings. You will have to hone the cylinders to make them rough for the new rings to seat. But if your engine was using o...
