Re: Can someone diagnos this sound for me please?
I think it could be the hydraulic lifters under the cam cover. It happens on a lot of mazdas. There is an oil additive that you can get to stop the noise in New Zealand but i dont know about elsewhere. It has happened on my car and as soon as I added the oil stuff they stopped rattling.

Re: Mazda Lantis
Hi thanks for the help, Have checked out all of the possibilities. It's getting air into the motor, spark to the plugs but i dont think that the injectors are opening. Is this sort of problem consistent with a faulty distributor? Also could that broken earth wire i mentioned have affected the ECU? T...

Mazda Lantis
Hi there, I have a 1993 mazda lantis with the KF-ZE (don't laugh) and it stopped suddenly. I looked for hours under the bonnet to try and get it going again. Re: Any help with a KF-ZE???
Hi again, It's an automatic KF-ZE and it does have a very strong spark. Could it possibly be the NE sensor in the distributor that controls the fuel injection? If it has spark and fuel going into the motor it should go but it doesn't leading me to think that it may be injector related. Any feedback ...

Any help with a KF-ZE???
Hi everyone, I have a 1993 Mazda Lantis with a 2.0L KF-ZE V6. The other day i tried to park it and put it into reverse to straighten up but it died as soon as it went into R. I have checked for a spark, fuel as far as the fuel rails, compression, petrol etc etc. All is good except it wont start and ...
