(IL)FS Running K8 Motor Cheap
I just pulled a K8 from my mx-3 and need to get rid of it. It ran good before I pulled it and I have not touched it. Its been out of the car for a week now. It won't come with a tranny or flywheel but everything else is with it. The motor has 146,000 on it. K8 Pictures: http://img529.imageshack.us/i...

Re: CD Deck won't slide all the way in
Put my Pioneer in and it hits in the back. It is sticking out about half an inch. I'm going to try to bend that bracket in the back and see if that works.

Re: Oil in the spark plug wires. Not on the spark plug tip
if yours are not cracked or split just clean them up. You can clean them in gasoline then water right after. Dry them off, put them in the valve cover and then put rtv sealant all the way around. Let it set for 5 minutes then put it on the motor, tighten it down and let it sit for a day. That will c...

Re: K8 I/M on a KLZE
What I meant, the K8 manifold on the K8 motor is designed for fuel efficiency not performance. It was designed with smaller runners for the 1.8 liter which in turn was made for good gas mileage. I'm not saying it will improve anything on a ZE, it will restrict the air it needs.

I would guess a vacuum leak or tps actually. Check the tps first, that is fast and easy.

Re: New Here.
Welcome, I just had a Second Gen PGT and did the Ze swap with all the bolt ons. Ill tell you first hand my mx-3 with the same ZE motor is tons faster than that probe. I can't believe the difference. Go with the mx-3, most parts are cheaper too.
