It is a true KLZE, already verified. NO EGR, correct Head and cam codes. Now i am just trying to wrap my head around the wiring as some of the connections are in different places

It is indeed a K8ZE, but its not in the greatest shape and not worth what i paid for it, 3 of the lobes on one of the cams are rusted and pitted to all hell, a couple of the lifters are pitted, it did feel like it had good compression but i'd rather not deal with pitted...

I have decided to take the motor back, i popped the valve covers today to check the cam numbers which it does turn out to be a K8 not a KFZE, but its in worse shape then the K8 i just pulled out of my car. Im leaning towards k8ze also, just because of the K8 stamped near the timing pully. all KFZE's where stamped KF there.

If it is a K8ze do i need to change out my ECU to a K8ZE ecu? I will be needing to swap distributors, and a few other small parts and sensors.

were are the head codes located? i realize on the head, but any general location i should look? I was thinking more and more that it is a K8ZE, all KFZE's have KF stamped into the block near the timing pully, mine has K8 stamped into it.
