Re: [Problem] Steering, help?
Actually it sounds like you may have a bearing going out. The power steering shouldn't really be making noise. Have a friend help you, get under the hood and have them turn the wheel. Listen to where the noise is coming from. Here's a CP post about changing the BJ power steering. More than useful, a...

These?
I grabbed a pair from Mooneggs today. The seatbelts are crap, but the brackets are good.
You pay shipping or pickup on the West side of WA?

Re: tune up
Depending on how into it you want to get... You may want to check the timing belt (depending on last change) for wear and tear. If the timing belt hasn't been changed in over 100k miles do the tensioner and pulley too. If you do your timing belt, check the water pump too. Replace the gasket at least...

Re: 95 1.6 dropping a cylinder
Do the compression test. The injectors are held into the fuel rail by compression. If you remove the bolts on the fuel rail, the injectors will pop out of the rail... Not safe. Could be a stuck vlave. Timing would be consistent, not intermittent. Do a spark check. Start at the plugs, if there's a pr...

Re: Superhydrophobic and Oleophobic Coating
Currently, enough to cover 42 sq ft is ~$150 for both coats. It does not hold up well to abrasion and if you use soap on it, it's pretty much gone. It does have a cloudy appearance, so it's not perfect for windshields. The operating temps are -30F to 300F, so it's not good for the engine bay. It's a...

Re: 1993 MX3 heating issues
I'm having similar issues (not trying to threadjack) where my car warms up and blows nice warm air. At about 3 miles down the road (@24F) it goes hot and I'm still getting hot air. Then, I think the thermostat opens and it goes back to cold/non-warm air from the heater. Pretty much at no time when I...

Josh, Love the head unit, looks good man! A small note on rooting and tethering with an Android though... Try to keep the data usage around the same level as when you don't tether. "Free tethering" can get you an overinflated bill, if they catch you doing it. A few of my friends got in tr...

Re: Valve Cover Gasket Replacement
If it's smoking during the first mile (from the tailpipe), it's probably going to be a headgasket. The smoke is from oil leaking into the cylinders and burning, creating white smoke. If the valve cover gasket is leaking, it would be leaking either around the top 1/4 of the engine or inside the spark...

Re: parts needed to swap 1.6l 4 cylinder to 2.5l klze
http://mx-3.com/swap/ 1.6L 4-CYL. DOHC/SOHC TO 1.8L/2.5L V6 ENGINE SWAP LINKS (Not Recommended) It can/has been done, but it is a pretty involved process. With the 4 cyl model your best bet is the BP/BPT swap. If you're really trying to get a KLZE, grab a v6 GS model and start from there. It'll be ...
