Re: Strut bars

i think in order to twist the strut tower in that way you would have to twist the whole frame of th car. the strut towers are tied in to the front and the back of the car fine that is not a weak point in the system. the week point is the individual side to side movement of the strut towers. the out ...

Re: Strut bars

i am no expert let me start out with that, but i think it is a descent desighn the mounts that atach to the strut to the strut towers are a snug fit without any play and the bar is also a snug fit with no play the way i see it is that if there is no slop in anything then it should transfer force equ...

Re: Strut bars

ok got the brackets made but hit a snag. the bar is still to close to the intake (did not allow for it to set back enough), and the bar mounts just barely hit the hood. this is what i am planning to do to fix mill down top of mount to allow hood clearance makke new bar or bend current bar to allow c...

Re: bigger brakes?

Rx-7's use a different bolt pattern than the Mx-3. 3rd gen's were 5 bolt. The second gen's used a 4 bolt but was a 4X114. I have no idea what complications you might have using 3rd gen rotors. Obviously, drilling new holes to fit over the hubs would be the first hurdle. You should probably try and ...

Re: OEM Probe/mx6 exedy clutch

i have been running the exedy clutch and fidenza flywheel on my ze for over a year now. no problems what so ever. i personaly believe that the reason so many people are blowing up there trannys is because they are running clutches that are to aggressive for our trannys. if it doesnt give at the clut...

Re: bigger brakes?

Re: Strut bars

i custom made both front and rear, the front is eliptical 1" diameter tubing with a 1/8" wall thickness just clearing the k8 intake with thermal spacers and clearing the kl by a long shot. unfortanatly it does not clear the curved neck with spacers, so i am building one that runs behind th...

Re: bigger brakes?

the reason i want them is not for going faster or reducing weight, i want them so the car will stop quicker and get rid of brake fade. if my car was used just for street driving i would leave well enough alone, but right now i am running the most aggressive front and rear pads i can fid and it is st...
