Re: Bouncing/low idle with KL31/36

I know Kl36 and KL02 isnt supposed to work. I had to try since a person with a KLZE was using it and running good. But, anyhow, switched to JE50, and its even worse. Bounces between 250-800. Besides that it runs much better than K8/KL02, but with the later combo the idle is perfect and not bouncing....

Bouncing/low idle with KL31/36

I've been running my curved neck ZE with stock K8 ecu and KL02 VAF for a while. It's running fairly good. Now i've decided to try KL36 and KL02 instead and see if I can get a little more power. The problem though is that , mostly when warm the idle drops to like 100-250 and almost dies. Tried adjust...

Re: At last, MX-6 ECU + KL02 vs. Probinator + JE50 dyno resu

Take that damn KL02 off and install a JE50. That's why it's running like sh*t. You can only use the KL02 on the 96-97 OBD2 models or if your using a KLDE ECU (MX6 or Ford Probe) If he puts in the JE50, he's still running the K8 ECU, so basically the original combo in the car for the K8, which will ...

Re: Does anyone have the link for civic headlight swaps?

I had them on too... :o It looked pretty unique.
But then they started to sell projectors for the MX3... and i would never never do the conversation again. Now its real pointless. It was pretty much work to make the car fit the projectors, shouldnt be that hard to make the projectors fit the car.

Sounds like one of your VRIS solenoids are not functioning properly.

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project

I've followed both your threads for a long time but realise i've never commented neither of them.. :) I think your doing a great job, the front bumper looks excellent and suit the car very well. I also like the taillights. Good luck with the alfa-spoiler, i think it will fit well too. But i think yo...

Nice to follow this worklog. Quality parts!
What are your time schedule for the car? What colour will it be and what rims are you gonna go with?
Keep up the good work.

Re: unclegregs - MX-3 GS

Thanks for comments. More pictures soon. Isnt it annoying? I test mounted the skirts, then put them away beside the wall of the garage, then parked the car at home over the winter. When i got in the right mood to finally work on the car, i drove to the garage tp pick them up. But no! All the snow fr...

First drive today after the paintjob! Still many hours of assembling left + dig up the sideskirts which are buried in the snow.

Re: At last, MX-6 ECU + KL02 vs. Probinator + JE50 dyno resu

Once again I have to say that: KL-ZE Curved Neck + K801 + KL02 works perfect! After reading trough this thread that seems pretty odd? Bacause several of you guys says that your MX-3 runs crap with this combo. I would say that for me this works better than KL36/JE50. Someone who agrees with me? 8) Wo...

Re: unclegregs - MX-3 GS

http://i53.tinypic.com/359mhz7.jpg This is all i got and it isnt that interesting really. Looks kind of bad without the sideskirts mounted. :) The good news (also mentioned in the V6 section) is that the KLZE is performing as it should now. Had some problems at higher rpms with it but it seems to b...

Re: unclegregs - MX-3 GS

Well, the list above is completed. Also Mazdaspeed front and US long sideskirts. I have welded new arches back and there is some bodywork to be done. But I will be painting it White (BWM Alpine) in a couple of weeks. Also doing a carbon fiber bonnet but havent got ny further than doing the mold for ...

Re: KLZE performing bad at high RPMs

Good news! :D
It seems to be working fine now! I changed the HEI-module and redid all the wiring. It performs well all the way to the redline now. At least it did on my quickdrive. Snow and summer tires isnt such a great combo. 8)
