I still have problems up high. It runs pretty good otherwise. Maybe something with the HEI-wiring?

Flat top pistons indicates a ZE. Check the plugs, dont know if DE uses the same but ZE uses BKR6E11.

Re: KLZE performing bad at high RPMs
VRIS is working fine. I have tested different ECUs and reset each one of them. Intake manifold is Curved Neck from Eunos 800. Vacuum goes from intake to FPR. When i got time i will check cam timing to confirm that its not 1 tooth off. Does anyone know if you could destroy a FPR with the higher flowi...

Re: At last, MX-6 ECU + KL02 vs. Probinator + JE50 dyno resu
Funny, I have OBD 1 and K801/KL02 works great.
KL02 VAF did perform poor mixed with KL36 and Probinator K8
I was suprised too but right now i prefer K8/KL02 rather than KL36/JE50!

Re: KLZE performing bad at high RPMs
Yes, I forgot to mention that. No codes, except for 3 EGR related (when reading with K8). Since it's a ZE it has no EGR though.

KLZE performing bad at high RPMs
Have som problems with my MX3 -92, KLZE. Have bad MPG, when I changed plugs last time they were really black, so im assuming it's running rich. Also have problems at high RPMs, loses power and it always struggles above 6k (sometimes it dont get past 6.5RPM). Also think it's kind of slow in general. ...

Re: Distributor issue
Problem solved!
Since I have som strange kind of external ignitor I had to disable the internal ignitor. Now it works perfect and no more misfiring and overfueling.
Someone seen this before?

Re: Distributor issue
Actually i'm just curious to know what that little black wire that goes from one part of the dissy to another is doing? If it is vital for the dissy to operate or could cause this behaviour, meaning: if i should bother leave it to someone so it can be soldered together again ... otherwise I suppose ...

Distributor issue
Tried to install another one today since i get code #03 with my other and it has a large hole in the body aswell. But the idle jumps up and down and the rpms on the gauge is moving really weird and stops randomly and eventuelly the engine dies. So, question: I've noticed bad connection on that littl...

Re: Mx3 with KLZE swap running rich, afterburn
One is from an MS8 (J-spec MX6) and the other is from a Eunos 800 (J-Spec Millenia)...not sure which is which off the top of my head. I believe the KL36 is the MS8 ECU. The main difference would be the VRIS points. The MS8 had straight necks and the Eunos 800 had curved necks. Both KL31 and 36 have...

I had 215/35/18 with -35mm drop on my old Mx with no problems. But i think 205-215/40/17 with 40-45mm looks better..
