Re: '94 K8 ECM bad input
TOT57171 is the disty you need. 94 is wired differently. If you attempt different ecu, you'll prolly end up frying it since the disty wiring is completely different. It's easier to just buy the disty you need rather than trying to find the right wiring order.

Re: Amazing what you can get for $20
Alright man, i can go up there and check it out for you tomorrow sometime. how would i know its a TOT57171? It will say it right on the disty itself. Also, these specific disties seem to have a small nipple on the cap whereas the other years have a smoothe cap with nothing on it. If you can see a r...

no issues with 17's at all. just make sure they are the correct offset 4 x 100 IIRC that's not offset that's the spacing between lug nuts (4 lugs, 100mm apart) stock offset is 45mm Me = FAIL (on this topic) Lol, I should have kept my mouth shut when I initially wasn't sure about my answer  :x

Re: mx3 spotted in yorkshire ny
theres a tan one sitting in someone's front lawn (prolly not driveable) on rte 240 about 2-3 miles away from springville. If you're coming out of springville heading toward yorkshire on the 36, you make a right at the 240 intersection and it's about 2-3 miles down the road on the left. I know someon...

Re: Can't lock my brakes
It mentions to "cycle the ABS pump" in my manual for my 2000 Jeep. Basically, you can bleed the lines without cycling by disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery. This will prevent it from trying to cycle while your bleeding it. If the abs tries to cycle while theres air in the ...

Re: Can't lock my brakes
Maybe you should try bleeding your brakes....
It's easy enough to try. Plus, it may be beneficial to change out your fluid anyways (as you mentioned earlier).

Re: Need sensor confirmation
If your new engine only has the black sensor with the single-wire, then the ecu (which i imagine is the one that came with this engine) will only be looking for one coolant temp sensor for fuel purposes. It doesn't matter which one since they are both the same type of sensor, the ecu just uses them ...

Re: charcoal canister, wtf is that?
I think it acts as a filter of some sort since it runs off of the egr vaccuum lines. Mine wasn't used when I deleted my egr system so I would imagine you could just ditch it. I dont remember it having an electrical harness or anything to throw a code...

worst case scenario, you could source a stock one and then just mod the one you have. That way, you can still keep the stock one (just in case).

Re: Timing question
I'm thinking I'm crazy. Hmmm, you got several 15+ year old cars, that nobody wants. You put a lot of work and money in them, even when you know if you were to sell them nobody would pay you what they're worth, and then, you come here and brag about it. Of course you're crazy. We all are. ...
