Re: Idle problem , cutting out please help!!

When you did the swap, did you keep the same Distributor? I had the same issue with mine, Idle rough and then die. I swapped out the internal coil and the problem went away, I also changed a wiring harness that looked dodgy. It fits with the electrical suggestion. Good luck.

Re: Sounds like a bearing

It sounds like it is coming from the rear, so the running the front wouldn't work. I had a bent rear rotor on my Sub and it doesn't feel the same. I will look further into the bearing, maybe I'll just replace them anyway. With 235 km on the car there probably about done. Days off are coming up here ...

Re: Sounds like a bearing

That's a good Idea but there is only one way to work. I tried the turning the stereo up fix but thoughts of things falling off at 120 made me think further about that method.

Sounds like a bearing

I have been noticing that once I have about 40 - 50 K at highway speeds I get a rotating squealing noise. It sounds like a bearing to me but when I checked there was no play. I seems to happen about the same spot on my daily commute, any suggestions what else it might be. If it was brakes I would th...

I had a problem with door locks. It turned out to be a issue with the steering lock, if the wheels were turned out to far from center the door locks were making it hard to turn the key. I tore the ignition apart and took it to a lock smith. There was nothing wrong with the mechanism but I have to pa...

I thought the key would still overide the system. It is a Clifford system and an older by the looks of the remote. Is it worth taking the door apart to see if the mechanism is screwed? the likely hood of both doors screwing up at the same must be pretty slime though, i would think.

That's what I thought too, but when I turn the alarm off with the toggle switch it still does the same thing. I don't know much about alarm systems but I thought turning the system off would take care of this, the toggle switch doesn't disable the whole system??

Automatic Door locks

Is there any way to disable the auto locking doors when the car is running? For some reason this morning when I was warming up the car. None of my spare keys worked for some reason, will be checking into the mechanism later today. If I can diable this function then I can lock the car when I need to ...

Thanks for the info. I've got about 230 k for mileage, I'm probably burning the same as Wytbishop. I was just wondering if this was something I needed to worry about right away or it can wait. Sounds like it can wait a while.

Losing oil?

since I have owned my 92 mx-3 GS I have had to add oil. It isn't on the ground and doesn't appear to be getting into the coolant. The only other place it can be going is out the pipe, I'm not seening any clouds of blue behind me so I have to ask does this motor burn oil normally? I have heard of som...

Ok I think we figured out the problem. The exciter was toast, either that or the wiring harness that someone put on after was messed up. I think I'm going to buy a shop manual. The online manual is great but I like to have a book beside me when I'm looking at the motor.
