nd4spdse - So the blue and red wire on the 3 pin connector are NOT cut? They still go to the plug and you are merely adding the red and blue wires to them, which go to the HEI?

I totally agree but once you go too fast, the wind resistance becomes a major factor also, the more resistance, the more the engine has to work. The higher the RPMS the faster you are likely to be going too. Faster you go, the more resistance you get. If there was zero wind resistance, like you said...
