Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
It's actually never stated what a KLZE actually is by mazda, or is it? Anyway, Im currently running 10:1 Pistons + "DE" heads + KLG4 manifold. And I did bought some KL31 cams a while ago but they still need to go in. But think im going to dyno first with the KL-01's :) Well that sounds li...

Re: Supercharging a K8?
No, grab the ECU and VAF from the car you pull the engine out of. That will be a good starting point.
Also boosting will cost a lot. You could just get the engine in, refurbished as much as possible and see how you like it. The transmission is definitely glass, so turbo with caution.

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
Yeah at the end of the day for us 1.8L engines, any good condition 2.5L swap is going to be amazing  As for KLZE Yes No, I think the only true ZE was the straight/long neck engine from the MX6. But hey, get your KL01 cams re-ground from colt and if you have KL01 heads you will not drop valves. ...

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
Well in the example you just gave, it's not a full klze. kl01 heads and cams is a hybrid not a true klze. When people think klze, they think 200hp. They don't think 170 to 190. How mamy probe and mx6 owners would be happy swapping in a kl01 cammed engine? They'd hardly notice the difference. Of cour...

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
   I really noticed in other threads this whole DE´s being called ZE´s really gets under your skin. I bet you think about it day and night huh? Yes you got me there, that's all I think about. Oh boy here we go, the old true ZE discussion. Bottom line is one has a straight and the oth...

Clutch slave piston not lining up straight with trans fork
Edited some pics in now. Am I imagining it? My slave and my friends probe's slave for comparison. I have just had to replace the slave as it died after only about 18 months. Upon removal the internals had worn down heaps on one side and it eventually blew it's guts out, it was very strange. So I rep...

Re: Is the KLZE Really Worth The Money
The only notable difference between the engines when you actually find a TRUE ZE is KL31 cams, high compressions pistons and the ECU which has better a more aggressive timing map. A lot of people here wank off to Eunos800/Millenia engines and call them ZE's. This is utter bulls---. They don't have h...

Re: corvette filter
RX8SE3P, I'll take the oil in for analysis after I do my next full service change. The car should be on the road by the end of April... It's already been a very long time, so believe me when I say I'm in a hurry! Wow it's been a long time coming! Hope she runs nice and doesn't give you too many iss...

Re: corvette filter
Let's call it an educated opinion. When 6,000 miles of hard driving looks like 1,500, and 10,000 like the prior 6,000? I'm talking same oil, same city, same engine, and same driving conditions. The only variable being the filter, man. Whether it's a difference between brand quality, or filter...

Re: 1992 mx3 valve stem seals
Distributor is a known issue, I'd replace it or do the HEI mod but since you may be selling it, maybe get a second hand one and try that? MX-3 manual should be - http://mx-3.com/manuals/index.php Tear down the engine first and you will see the water pump style on there. It's either a round one or a ...

Re: 1992 mx3 valve stem seals
Check the mazda manual's tolerance for the head bolts and re-use if well within spec. I think the original mazda ones are potentially higher quality than any you can buy off ebay anyways. Btw, yes to the gasket kit and try find a timing belt kit that has a water pump too. You can use a probe/mx6 2.5...

Probably is but I can't remember if I spaced it out with something so it had no angle at all on the cable. ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Re: corvette filter
The larger element is beneficial for extended interval changes. For example, "15,000" mile Mobile 1 extended performance. I run exclusively that, and do change intervals of 10,000 miles(checked every 2,000), and noticed that around the 6,000 mile mark that the Vette filter offered measura...
