Re: Power Window Wiring
Bumping this thread. I have just installed two DPDT switches and I have got both windows working. HOWEVER, that stupid mystery black/blue wire is the 7th wire left over. It must have something to do with the passenger side lock out because my passenger has no control on their window. Where do I conn...

Re: oval port millenia vs sqaure port millenia
You are 100% correct on the oilpan, which oddly enough only affected the Millenia, and not the G4 models. As for the oval port Millenia engine... Everybody says it, but I have never seen photographic evidence of it. Every Millenia I have ever seen had KL31 heads sitting in it; Granted, I do...

Re: Making a list for K8 To KLZE swap
Yep, I agree with SuperK. Some people on this site don't have a clue and are in KLDE denial when they get their engine. A KLZE simply must have a straight neck intake with KL31 cams and KL31 heads. If the camshafts are KL01 it's a hybrid engine at best. People call the Millenia engines ZE's, which i...

Probe trans is the same as the mx3 trans but still a good price considering all you get with the engine!

Re: Making a list for K8 To KLZE swap
Removing the intake manifold may make things a lot easier with the PS hose removal. I don't remember actually removing my PS pump when I did my swap.

Re: camshaft stucks while rotating
my friend had a similar issue. it was because he pumped up his hla's with oil first. you may need to bleed them out a bit. this may not be your issue though.

libtechsplit - Find out first for a fact, if you are OBD2 or OBD1. Otherwise you could waste money on the wrong ECU's as they might not plug up to your wiring loom!

Re: Making a list for K8 To KLZE swap
Try finding a damaged MX-6/626/Probe with a decent 2.5L engine in it. That's one option. I would definitely say you should go with the DE swap. You will need the following: Timing belt kit + hydraulic tensioner or make/buy a manual tensioner Water Pump Clutch kit (for mx6) KLDE ECU + KL02 VAF (Even ...

Re: Eprom Tuning - looking at various chips' fuel/timing map
You can see in the timing map that even the stock KL31 seems to have better timing than the stock DE. Probinator timing seems to be identical to the DE yet even lower timing in the low octane map.

Re: Eprom Tuning - looking at various chips' fuel/timing map
I've posted the low octane maps too now. About to post a KLDE stock eprom. I guess if the ECU detects knock it will use the low octane settings? Most of the DE eproms look like this: http://members.iinet.net.au/~kakarot2@adam.com.au/KLDEfuel.png http://members.iinet.net.au/~kakarot2@adam.com.au/KLDE...

Re: please help
will that help for the back fireiing stalling and hard starting I doubt it. Disty's are very s---. They fail all the time. You may have even got a faulty one that's on it's last legs. At least though it has shown you that the problem is ignition related. Somewhere and something to do with that. I w...
